My Mother's Killer - Ch. 11

Marie Sinclair was seven when her mother was killed in front of her. From then on she planned her life around revenge. Little does she know life has a plan all its own.
Sorry so short!

"Sarah, wake up we need to leave," I whispered while lightly shaking her. "I’m awake, John time to…" Her voice drifted off with sadness. I hurried to the stable and got Nobel ready for our trip, I collected supplies as well. Just before we were about to leave I heard a rustle in the forest; I quickly jumped off the wagon and drew my sword. I barely even took a breath I just studied the tree line waiting for what approached. Then from behind a tree I could make out a face, I sighed with relief. "Elisabeth, Robert!" Sarah said while darting over to the tree line. More and more people emerged behind them. Robert and Elisabeth were good people; Robert was strong just like his brother, Michael. I studied their faces when Sarah told them the news about John.

I could tell Robert blamed himself by the way his face changes he probably though like me," If I had only been here a little sooner." I gave them time to talk amongst themselves before I approached. "Marie, I can’t thank you enough," Robert rambled on. I told him it was no problem then asked why so many people were with him. Robert proceeded to tell me the story of how their village was attached by soldiers in black; we continued talking about what had happened and he explained that he felt King Richard was a coward and constantly said there was no black army. I suspected a cover up but why the Kings army was great why was he so scared of the black army?" Marie I think it’s best if you travel to the Castle without Sarah; the wagon would just slow you down, I have three of the strongest men from the village that will escort you there." Robert belted out in his deep husky voice.

I agreed and unhinged the wagon from Nobel. I stared at the men that would travel with me; there was two middle aged men and a younger man a couple years older than me. I couldn’t take my eyes off him; he had tan skin, light brown, emerald eyes, a nice smile, and he was very tone. I introduced myself, "Hello, I’m Marie," The middle aged man with red hair stretched out his hand," I’m Edwin, and this is my brother Erwin," he belted pointing at the other man with brown hair. "I’m Peter," said the younger man with the sexy voice. I can’t explain his voice all I can tell you is that every time he talked it felt like I would melt with each word he said; which in this case wasn’t much but still I felt like my knees were going to give out on me. "Well then I think its best if we head out now," I replied with my eyes still glued to Peter.
