My Man 9
With Van as his TOP competitor for Cy’s attention, BJ found it weird and annoying that Cy become so clingy and sweet towards Van. Was Cy starting to fall for Van? Or was BJ starting to fall for her?
BJ was staring happily at his phone while drying his hair with his towel. Their practice just finished minutes ago. After he took a quick shower, his phone rang. He was really surprise upon reading his caller’s name.
‘Cap, you’re phone’s ringing.’ Their point guard said. He was two years younger than BJ. He sat just next to the table, tying his shoe lace, he than looked up. ‘Aren’t you going to answer that?’ he asked curiously.
BJ grinned. ‘Oh I will.’ He said slowly, his gaze was still transfixed towards his phone.
Jay studied their team captain. ‘You know what cap, your acting weird lately.’ He said honestly. He looked at him intently. To Jay’s point of view, BJ looked like a lovesick teenager smiling at his phone. ‘Yeah you’re weird…’
BJ chuckled and continued staring at his phone. He was really happy seeing the name of his caller. It’s not everyday she calls me, BJ thought silently. Well, this is the first time… He cleared his throat and was about to answer his phone but he noticed Jay was casting weird look at him. ‘What?’ he asked while picking up his phone.
‘You’re obviously happy. Is that Clarisse calling you?’ he asked. His teammates knew exactly about the ‘thing’ he had for Clarisse.
‘Nope. It’s my girlfriend.’ He said simply and then turned his back to Jay to answer his phone.
‘Girlfriend?’ Jay repeated. ‘That wasn’t new but why act that way?’
BJ smiled and then shook his head. He decided not to answer his question and focused all his attention to his phone. He first took a deep breath before he pressed the answer button. ‘You called?’ he asked stoically. He was trying to hide his excitement. He actually didn’t know why he was excited, at all.
‘Is Van with you?’ she asked. She sounded worried about something.
Slowly his smile faded. ‘What?! Why?’ he asked.
‘Just answer my question!’ she said with a trace of irritation on her voice. ‘Is Van with you right now?’ she repeated.
‘N-No. Why you- Cybil… Hello…’ the opposite line was quiet. ‘Hello?’ he sighed upon hearing the dial tone. ‘Great!’ he said to himself. What is happening here? He asked himself. Since when does Cybil become so clingy to Van?
Cybil was restless. She was walking back and forth inside their living room. She was worried about Van. She knew something happened to him. Earlier that day Cybil received twenty missed calls from Van and five text messages. He was looking for her! She was busy with the orientation for Advance Life Support and had forgotten about her phone. It was after Rae and Cybil parted their ways that Cy thought about checking it.
What should I do? She asked himself. I have a feeling something happened… she thought while restlessly pacing inside their living room. She then stood up, grabbed her coat and keys and then said to her brothers. ‘Twins, I’m going out for a bit. I’ll be back in less than an hour, okay?’ she shouted towards the stairs.
‘Okay…’ they both shouted back in unison.
She smiled and was about to moved towards the door but she remembered something. ‘No online games, okay?’ she reminded them. ‘You know I’ll get upset and besides you guys promised Mrs. Lane that you help her with her garden…’
‘Okay…’ Kent shouted back. ‘Were NOT playing online games!’ it was Kyle.
Cybil then hurriedly walked towards their door. She opened it and was startled upon seeing Van standing just at the other side. His left eye was swollen; his lips and eyebrows were bleeding and he got bruises all over his handsome face. ‘Oh My God!’ she uttered. ‘Van what happened?’ she widely opened the door, she then stepped back to give him enough room and then she gestured him to come in. ‘Who did this to you?’
‘Your boyfriend…’ he whispered under his breath.
‘What?’ she asked distractedly. She assisted him to their couch. She then walked towards their kitchen and minutes later she materialized in front of Van with an ice pack on right hand and a first aid kit on the other. Cybil then sat in front of him and started tending his wounds. She put alcohol on the cotton and then put in on his wounds.
Immediately Van flinched. ‘Ouch…’
Cy looked at Van then said. ‘I’m sorry… I’ll apply pressure on your wounds to stop the bleeding but first I’ll disinfect it, okay? Don’t move…’ Van nods making Cy laugh softly. ‘I said don’t MOVE.’ She said while disinfecting his wounds.
Van winced from the pain he felt and then said in a low and tender voice. ‘Sorry…’ He then looked straight at her. In this closer range and without her glasses, Van thought. She’s even more beautiful than I ever thought. Lucky for that BASTARD!
She leaned slightly forward. A lot of auburn strands were coming down from her lose ponytail and her side bangs were covering her eyes. He reached up and tried to tuck the lose strands under her ear.
Cybil looked up and looked straight to his green eyes. She then beamed him a shy grin. ‘Thank you…’ she put something on his wounds before covering it with clean gauze. Then she put white plaster on it to keep her dressing in place. ‘There you go… That should do it.’ Then quietly she apply cold compress on his bruise. For a moment they were both quiet. She, busy applying cold compress to Van’s bruise and wondering what was happening to him. He busy, contemplating the exchanged of words between him and BJ yesterday and the fact that BJ was jealous of him. Then minutes later, Cy broke the silence between them. ‘What exactly happen, Van? Who did this to you?’ she asked without looking at him.
Van sighed. ‘I told you… it’s you BOYFRIEND.’ He looked away.
Cybil put the ice pack on the table then she looked intently at Van. ‘Can you at least tell me in DETAILS?’
Again Van sighed. ‘Earlier today we…’ for a moment Van had an inner battle with himself whether to tell Cybil everything that had happened since the other day but as he pondered about it he just simply said to Cy. ‘Fought.’ He was still devastated with their couch announcement that day.
‘What do you mean,’ she raised both hand and made an imaginary quote. ‘We fought?’ Cybil looked intently at Van. What was happening here? She thought silently. ‘Why?! I mean, Van you two were best friends!’
He snorted. ‘Even best friends fight sometime Cy. I bet you and Rae-’
‘Never!’ she interrupted his sentence.
Van first cast weird look at Cybil then said. ‘That’s weird…’ he then cleared his throat. ‘As I was saying…’ he told Cybil everything. Earlier that day their couch called them for a last minute practice game before they heeded to the coliseum for the new season’s official opening. Same as the day before, they were divided equally and both teams were headed by Van and BJ. Their practice game started pretty well. It was after the jump ball that Van noticed BJ was playing so sloppily, BJ was always forcing the ball to the basket, he became so greedy with the ball and failed to passed it to his teammates, his three point shooting range somehow disappeared even his field goal and free throw shooting, he always lose his patience whenever Van blocked his attempts and he always looking and asking for a foul whenever Van legitimately block his shoots. For Van it somehow bothered him at first. BJ wasn’t like that AT ALL. His unstoppable whenever his in the game. Shooting three points, doing some fast breaks, assisting the ball to his teammates, sometimes he steals the ball and most importantly anticipating the other team’s move and all. But Van hadn’t seen THAT BJ in their practice game and made some advantage out of it. His team scored the first twenty point’s basket for the first two minute game of the first quarter. The first half was ended with a twenty five point deficit and it was on Van’s team’s advantage.
On the second round BJ started playing his game in a very physical way… again. In just five minutes in the third quarter, BJ was in the penalty and was at risk of leaving the game so early. So far Van liked the flow of the game. We’re going to win this practice match, he thought while smiling at himself. He dribbled the ball to the opposite side of the basket. Immediately BJ materialized in front of him, trying to steal the ball from Van.
BJ looked fiercely at Van then said. ‘You’re not going to win this match.’
Van slowly smiled. ‘Oh yeah?’ he said then he looked at the score board. He got 18 seconds to shoot. His smile broadens and then dribbled the ball faster. ‘Bring it on…’ Van whirled to his left to avoid BJ and started to charge for the basket but to his surprise BJ materialized in front of him and accidentally bumped him. Van lost his balance and so was BJ. The next thing he knew, a whistle as called ON HIM.
‘Personal foul number seven!’ The referee shouted and then gestured Van’s jersey number.
‘What the-’ he looked at BJ. This bastard is a good actor, he thought as he glared at BJ.
BJ smiled wickedly at him as he stood up. ‘You’re NOT,’ he emphasized the last word. ‘Going to win this match… not when I’m around…’ he said as he walked past Van.
Van then snorted and gazed over his retreating back. ‘Yeah right…’ he said sarcastically. ‘I might not win over you but at least I got Cybil’s attention.’ He said confidently. ‘In that department you’ll NEVER going to win against me.’
BJ stopped walking; his back was still on Van. Involuntarily he made a tight fist.
Van smiled mischievously at his back upon seeing his fist. ‘Anytime now, she’ll definitely fall for me.’ He added.
Instantly BJ’s head snapped towards Van’s direction. ‘You-’
‘BJ!’ their couch shouted and stopped him from attacking Van. ‘You got two free throws.’
BJ first glared at Van before he resumed moving towards the opposite side of the court, his team’s basket.
‘What?!’ Cybil asked in pure surprise. ‘The Jerk attacked you first yet you suffered the consequences?!’ she repeated Van’s sentence with much disgust in her voice. ‘Now that’s unfair!’
Van shrugged. ‘His the captain you know and-’
‘To hell with that!’ she interrupted. ‘So he was spared from his mistakes because he’s THE CAPTAIN?!’ Cybil looked at the door to her left. ‘BULLSHIT!’
Van flinched upon hearing her last word. He then shook his head. She sure is unique, he thought.
After the last two minutes of the third quarter a whistle was blown. One of the referee announced a personal foul towards jersey number 17… it was BJ! He was out of the game! Before the whistle was called, BJ was trying to destroy Van’s defense. The ball was on Van’s team’s possession. Van was about to move towards his teammate’s side to help him with the ball and with the double team but suddenly BJ screened him, he shifted from his back to his front and ‘accidentally’ hit Van’s groin area with his left hand. Van felt the pain immediately and lost his balance. But before he could sit on the floor, he collided with BJ and hit his face with Van’s head. Everything happened so fast after that. Van and BJ were hitting each other while their teammates were trying to separate them from each other but they failed, even their couch helped them.
After successfully separating Van and BJ and after they both calm down, their couch nagged them about what happen. He asked them what were they fighting about but neither Van nor BJ dared to answer. Their couch then decided to suspend Van. He was suspended only one game and that will be their first game that day.
Cybil sighed and then shifted her gaze towards Van. ‘But why Van? I mean-’
‘I guess…’ he cut Cy’s sentence. ‘The guy’s jealous because you seemed to like and noticed me… more than him.’ He said honestly and then looked straight at her very expressive amber eyes. He smiled as he saw a flick of confusion in it.
‘Jealous?!’ She paused for a moment to think and then suddenly laughed softly. ‘But Van, that would be impossible!’ she said while laughing softly.
Van’s one brow arched. ‘How come it’s impossible? I mean it’s natural for a BOYFRIEND to get jealous especially if his GIRLFRIEND became found if someone…’
She first cleared her throat and tried to compose herself. After a second she said to Van. ‘But I’m not his…’ she trailed off. She just remembered something. Van didn’t know their agreement… her situation. Oh shit! How can I put this? She thought. Van thinks that I’m really Brent’s girlfriend and if I’ll tell him the truth… will he believe me if I say our relationship were fake, false and unreal… that I’m just paying my debt to BJ-
‘You’re not his what?’ Van interrupted her thought. He looked at her expectantly.
Cybil frowned. How can I put this? She thought. Hey wait a second… She gazed straight to Van’s eyes and then sighed. She sensed something. ‘You knew, right?’ she asked.
‘About what?’ he asked innocently.
She stood up in front of him and then put her hands on her hips. ‘Oh c’mon Van! Just drop off the pretenses!’
‘What? What do you mean?’
With one brow raise, Cybil crossed her arm over her chest and tapped one foot on the floor.
Van chuckled. ‘Look Cy, all I know is…’ he looked tender at her. ‘You’re right straight hook really left a statement on me and BJ…’ he said meaningfully.
Cybil rolled her eyes and then without a word she sat down next to Van. ‘You were there?’
Van looked at her intently then sighed. ‘I was going to help you out but you suddenly stood up and gave the guy your right straight hook.’ He saw her smile weakly. ‘You know what, I really… really… really want to help you Cy. I don’t want you to be treated like a servant.’ He paused for a while. ‘How much money you owe BJ?’ he asked seriously.
‘Why? What for?’ She then shook her head. ‘I don’t need your help Van and besides Brent… BJ didn’t want money as my payment, he wants my services.’ she said honestly. ‘But if he DOES accept money… I’m sorry but I DON’T need yours.’ She paused for a while. ‘Look Van… will you please stop… I can’t repay you Van so stop helping me.’
Van stared at her. He sure didn’t saw that one coming! He’ll be a hypocrite if he’ll say he wasn’t hurt by her words. For course he was hurt! Her word was like a knife pierced to his heart and then slowly twisting, making it hurt and bleed ten folds. He looked down and decided to shut himself a bit. He wasn’t expecting Cybil to say those words. He only wanted to help her no more… no less. ‘I told you this before,’ he said after a long silence. ‘I’m not like BJ.’ He whispered. Suddenly there was a tension building up in the air.
Cy flinched and then looked at him intently. ‘I’m sorry Van. I didn’t mean…’ suddenly she thought of something. She looked ahead then smiled at herself. ‘Have you heard the saying that goes like this, Birds of the same feathers…’
His head snapped immediately towards Cy’s direction. ‘I told you I’m not LIKE BJ.’ He said with so much frustration on his voice.
Cybil smiled mischievously. ‘Are the same birds?’ she said while looking at him side ways. ‘You sure react quickly.’ She said while trying so hard to suppress her laughter.
Van was speechless for a while. It took him one full minute to recover from his shock. ‘Oh right…’ he said sarcastically. ‘Wow she’s trying to be funny! Great!’ he said while smiling. The tension suddenly disappeared.
Cybil pinched his elbow and then laughed out loud as he shouted from the pain he felt. A moment later Cybil heard a loud noise from his brother’s room. ‘Twins? What’s going on there?’ she shouted.
‘Nothing…’ they both answered in unison.
‘Hey, aren’t you guys going to help Mrs. Lane with her garden?’
‘Yeah were coming.’ Later both red haired boys materialized in front of them. ‘Hi Van.’ It was Kent. ‘Good luck with your game this afternoon.’
Van looked at Cybil then said. ‘I’m on suspension so I’m not playing this afternoon.’
‘Oh too bad! For sure BJ and the others will going to have a difficult time maintaining their defense.’ Kyle said seriously. Cybil knew pretty well that her brothers just love to watch basketball. Kyle looked at Cybil. ‘We’re going now. If ever you’ll leave the house, will you please bring with you your phone?’
Cybil nods in agreement. ‘Yes sir…’ she joked without smiling.
Kyle frowned. ‘Sis I’m not kidding here.’ He said seriously.
‘I know sir.’
Kyle rolled his eyes at his sister and without a word he turned his back on them and marched towards their door.
Van smiled. ‘That was cute… they’re identical twins right?’ he chuckled. ‘Well obviously… duh?’ He smiled as he saw Cybil was laughing at him. ‘But seriously Cy,’ he suddenly became serious. ‘I really want to help you.’
Cybil shook her head vigorously. ‘It’s okay Van. I handle this.’ She looked straight to his eyes. ‘And I don’t want you to get involve with this stuff. You know what I mean.’ She said meaningfully at him.
‘Hmmm…’ he said while smiling.
For some reason Cybil didn’t like the way Van looked at her. It seemed like he knew something important. ‘W-What?’
‘I have a feeling that you LIKE posing as BJ’s girlfriend.’ He said seriously. ‘Am I right?’
Cybil’s jaw literally dropped and her eyes widened. ‘OF COURSE NOT!!!’ she shouted. ‘I don’t like to be his girlfriend! I’m doing this whole thing to repay my debt. Besides I don’t like HIM!’
If you don’t then why are you so defensive? Van said quietly at himself while eyeing Cybil. ‘I have the feeling you’re falling for him and you’re trying so hard to convince yourself that you don’t like him to mask your true feelings.’
Cybil glared at him. She then pinched both his cheeks then said. ‘You’re thinking like Rae! But you two were wrong…’
‘Oh yeah?’ he challenged her. ‘What if…’ using his thumb and index finger, he pinched Cybil’s nose. ‘You’re wrong… what if Rae and I were right?’ he said while pinching her nose as hard as he can.
‘Ouch…’ They were both like kids playing. When Van finally freed her nose, he laughed so hard as he saw her nose turned really, really red. In returned, she pinched his nose so hard that he used his mouth to breath. They were laughing and teasing with each other. Not long enough Cybil heard someone cleared his throat. She looked at the door and was shock upon seeing the people standing there.
‘Brent… Rae.’ Cybil said awkwardly. She cleared her throat the asked. ‘What are you guys doing here?’
‘Cap, where’s your girlfriend?’ Jay asked him while drinking some alcohol, beside him was his wife. There were at the bar celebrating their win the other day. His teammates insisted that he should brought Cybil that night but as BJ expected Cybil refused stubbornly.
He looked at the dance floor. ‘She’s busy…’ he simply said. He saw Van’s gaze was transfixed towards him. He just ignored it. BJ wasn’t at all in the mood of celebrating that night. He was actually a bit disappointed upon hearing Cybil’s excuse. She told him she got to meet with her high school and she honestly said that didn’t want to meet his teammates. I should thought of some way-
‘Cap…’ Eric, their center and ‘big man’ called his attention. ‘Look at that chick in the middle of the dance floor.’ He said while pointing to the dance floor.
BJ reluctantly followed.
‘Man she’s hot… smoking hot!’ he said while chuckling. ‘The way she move…WOW!’ All their teammates agreed with him. The girl was gracefully dancing on the dance floor and they knew their group wasn’t the only group to notice her.
BJ silently observed the girl that Eric talked about. Her back was on them so they were freely admired her. The girl was wearing a skirt, not too long but not too short for her petite body with a dark tube top. Her hair was long and straight and when she danced her hair moved gracefully at the beat. He got to admit the girl was hot. Then suddenly the girl turned and faced their side. BJ could have sworn he felt cold water poured all over his body as he saw the face of the girl. He involuntarily stood up and looked at the girl closely. Then he looked at Van. Van too was as shocked as he was. Suddenly BJ marched towards the comfort room.
‘Kenneth,’ Cybil shouted near Kenneth’s ear. ‘I’ll go to the wash room…’
He smiled at her. ‘You want me to accompany you?’
She shook her head vigorously. ‘No thanks…’ She marched towards their table to get her purse and then she proceeded to the nearest wash room. The day before Rae told Cy about the get together Kenneth and the others were planning. It had been three or four years since the last time her friends organized such thing and it had been that long since Cy saw them. Well except from Sev, they were at the same university and they’ve seen each other in their campus. If Sev’s schedule was that hectic, he sometimes invited Rae and her for a launch or catch some movie.
She entered the wash room. She first washed her and before she took her medication. Cybil then studied her reflection in the mirror and then sighed. ‘Why do I have this feeling Kenneth and Johan was up to something…’ Cy asked herself. It really bugged her the moment they arrived and the weird part was they were waiting for something or someone. She asked them about that but they just both laughed at her. ‘Or maybe I’m just paranoid…’ she sighed.
‘Why are you with them?’ a baritone voice asked.
She jumped to her feet. She was in deep thought when someone spoke. She looked at the door and was devastated as she saw the person standing... looking as hot and as handsome as ever! Then suddenly something hit Cybil. What is he doing here? She thought silently. She noticed his brows were drawn at the center and she could sense his irritation and anger were inches away from coming up to the surface. Then all of the sudden the guy glared at her and Cybil happily glared back at him. What’s wrong with this guy? She asked herself. Did I- her thought were interrupted upon hearing a ‘click’ sound towards the door.
BJ locked the door and then slowly moved towards Cybil. ‘Why are you with Ken and Johan?’ he asked angrily as if he got the very right to do so. He then pulled her arm making her faced him and then he put both his hands to Cy’s shoulders. He leaned and said in gritted teeth. ‘I thought you’re going to meet your high school friends?’
She tried to brush away his hands but failed. ‘They ARE my high school friends!’ She tried to pushed BJ’s body away from hers but then again she failed. He was just too heavy for her. ‘Brent let me go…’ she pleaded. She was trapped between the sink and BJ’s body and for Cybil it was really awkward.
BJ let her go but he didn’t move an inched, he was standing in front of her. ‘If they are your friends, where’s Rae? ’
Cy flinched. Is this some kind of an interrogation?! She asked herself. ‘She’s on her way…’ she said lamely. ‘What’s wrong with you anyway? I’m just hanging out with my friends!’
His features darkened. ‘It’s okay with me that you hang out with your friends but why them?! They were our archenemy on court and off court for Christ sake!’
‘So what?! I don’t damn care about your rivalry with them, they are my friends and that’s it!’ she said angrily. She knew pretty well the age old rivalry between BJ’s school to Kenneth’s. Cybil find it annoying that every time the blue (BJ’s school color) and red (Kenneth’s school color) will meet, they sure complete with each other. She pushed his chest to have enough space for her but to her dismay BJ leaned forward. ‘What are you doing?!’ she shouted.
‘Let me remind you Cybil, you’re my girlfriend-’
‘So what?!’ she interrupted. ‘And let me remind you Brent,’ she said imitating BJ’s tone. ‘I’m NOT-’
BJ tipped her chin up, looked straight at her eyes and then slowly he lowered his face to Cybil.
Cybil eyes widened. Immediately she thought of something to escape. She tried turning her head to the other side but BJ held her chin firmly yet gently. Then she thought of something. She raised her right fist, just enough to catch BJ’s attention then said firmly. ‘If you don’t want your nose to bleed, LET GO OF ME!’
BJ looked at her fist, sighed and then he let go of her chin. He then stepped back, looked straight at her then said. ‘Like what I said, you’re my girlfriend and-’
‘How many times,’ she interrupted. ‘I told you I’m NOT your girlfriend!’ she shouted. ‘So don’t order me around!’ She glared at him and then without a world she marched towards the door. Cybil irritatingly and hurriedly walked towards their table. She saw Rae already with the group.
‘Hey!’ it was Sev. He stood up and moved towards her. ‘What took you so long?’
She just shook her head and then sat lazily beside Rae.
‘And why are you gritting you teeth?’ Sev added.
‘Nothing I’m just- where you guys going?’ she asked upon seeing both Johan and Kenneth stood up and they both urged Sev and Rae t do the same.
‘We’re heeding to the dance floor.’ Kenneth said excitedly. ‘You want to come?’
Cybil shook her head. ‘I think I’ll rest a bit.’
‘Okay then…’ he said smiling at her. Kenneth was literally dragging Rae to the dance floor.
Cy smiled as she followed them with her gazed. Rae was reluctantly dancing on the dance floor as ever. She never change, she said as she looked at her best friend. She sighed a looked at four closes friends. I guess everyone hasn’t change at all… weird! But then… I guess I’m the only one-
‘Excess me Miss… is this seat taken?’
What a dummy! Of course this seat is taken, she thought. ‘This seat is…’ she looked up. ‘Already taken.’ She said slowly as she saw the face of what she thought a stranger. The guy that was standing in front of her, smiling happily and sweetly at her, was no stranger to her life. She was in a state of shock! Her hands were cold and clammy, her heart beats faster, and her face was pale. Her eyes were widened and her lower jaw dropped open. She didn’t know what to do, what to say and how to react. All she knew was she need to escape.
He smiled at her. ‘Hi Mine.’ He said sweetly. ‘How are you?’ he sat next to her then he took both her hands. ‘Oh my God! I missed you so much Mine…’
She pleaded at Rae and Sev but to her dismay Kenneth and Johan stopped them. She looked around and she was glad to see Van not far from her table. VAN!!!
BJ stood up and was about to march towards Cy’s table but a strong hand stopped him. He looked at his back. It was Van. ‘Let go Van…’ he said stoically.
‘Don’t make a scene…’ Van let his arm go.
He nod and then resume walking. He noticed Cybil looked at their table and sent him a glace of helpless appeal in his direction. To his disappointment and frustration she wasn’t asking him for help, but to Van. He was really annoyed and pissed. Not long enough he reached Cy’s table. He first cleared his throat and then said to her. ‘It’s time to leave Cy.’ He said calmly. ‘The twins called and they were looking for you.’ He lied.
Cybil nod at him. ‘O-Okay-’
‘Wait Mine…’ he stopped Cybil from standing up. ‘I’ll drop you off.’
Cybil shook her head. ‘No… ahmm…’ she looked at BJ. ‘I’m with him.’
‘No I insist…’ he looked at BJ. He stood up and then faced BJ. ‘I’ll be the one-’
‘You heard her!’ BJ’s patience just snapped. ‘She’s with me and- who the hell are you anyway?’
The guy slowly smiled. He first looked at Cybil then he looked at BJ. ‘I’m Cybil’s BOYFRIEND.’ He said proudly. ‘My name is Dave and you are?’
Boyfriend?! I thought she didn’t have a boyfriend? BJ looked at Cybil. He saw her winced and the she lowered her gaze. Come to think of it, she never told me she has a boyfriend. I’m the one assuming she didn’t have one, BJ thought silently...

She then stood up, grabbed her coat and keys and then said to her brothers. ‘Twins, I’m going out for a bit. I’ll be back in less than an hour, okay?’ she shouted towards the stairs.
