My Love, Night
I got bored and wrote a poem about night time, hope you like! plez don’t copy my work....... thanks
I look out into the faintly lit streets and see something...
Something exotic, something strange, something new.
I walk along the path and feel it on my skin...
Cool, damp, inviting.
I look up and see it in the sky...
Bright, shining, loving, adoring.
I hear it all around me...
Whispering, beckoning, singing.
I smell it in the air...
Sweet, chilled, lovely, welcoming.
But what is it?
What is this thing that tastes so sweet?
What is this creature that I’ve come to love?
Who is she?
She sings to me, humming, laahha laahha dada
Her beautiful voice carries on the wind,
Comforting, warmly lulling me to sleep.
Yet I do not slumber, I stay awake to listen on, far past the witching hour.
But I fall to rest before the first rays of light.
For the sparkle of her jewels incinerate my flesh.
The goddess of light, Kimeras,
Beckons me to wake, to rejoice in her call,
But I dare not listen.
For if I heed her call, I shall surely die.
Her voice is not the sweet trickle that I rejoice to,
But yet a harsh shrieking that burns my ears.
So I continue on in slumber, until the end of her song.
Then I wake once more,
To rejoice in the song of my love.
My goddess of the night, Nix.
Something exotic, something strange, something new.
I walk along the path and feel it on my skin...
Cool, damp, inviting.
I look up and see it in the sky...
Bright, shining, loving, adoring.
