My Girlfriend
This is a poem I wrote for a fake Facebook relationship I was in. A friend and I felt like messing with people back home so we were extremely cheesy and mushy. Sad part about this is, if I'd really had a girlfriend and wrote this for her she probably would've loved it.
There's just something I have to say
It may come to another's dismay
But this ordeal is not his concern
This is something he'll have to discern
But when you're here I smile more fully
When you're gone my life goes by dully
Our friendship is something that began to bloom
And when you came near I could hear my heart's boom
Your eyes are the blue that fills the skies
Your touch is what signals my own demise
Your smile is the taunt that lures me in
Your kiss is the reason for my constant grin
I love the way I can make you laugh
I love it when you cross my path
I love that this won't soon end
I love that you're my girlfriend
It may come to another's dismay
But this ordeal is not his concern
This is something he'll have to discern
But when you're here I smile more fully
When you're gone my life goes by dully
Our friendship is something that began to bloom
And when you came near I could hear my heart's boom
Your eyes are the blue that fills the skies
Your touch is what signals my own demise
Your smile is the taunt that lures me in
Your kiss is the reason for my constant grin
I love the way I can make you laugh
I love it when you cross my path
I love that this won't soon end
I love that you're my girlfriend
