My Friend Renee

This is a poem about my best friend's daughter. We met 3 days before his funeral, and decided to form our own relationship. This poem describes how I see her. .
I lost my best friend,
But found his daughter.
Now-
A new friend
To love and to honor.

The beauty
That lies within her-
Uncommon-
So rare.

She says she’s just
A regular girl-
I see so much more.
Her soul is so flawless,
Her body so fair.
The love that
Surrounds her-
It flows through the air.
