My Dance, My Dream - Chapter 3
Cassie finds out why Sean and Nattie have been acting strange.
The rest of the day went by pretty slowly and I got constant texts from Michelle and Kyle about Kaley and Sean. The three of us were worried about Kaley and angry at Sean. I got up from my seat and waked out of class in the middle of maths.
"Cassandra? Cassandra! Come back here!" My teacher shouted to my back, I kept walking though, I had to find Sean and understand why he hit Kaley and why he lied to me.
I bumped into Kyle a few minutes after I'd walked out of class.
"What are you doing outside the class?" I asked him.
"The principal got me out of class to look for you and get you back to class, so why are you out here?" He asked curiously.
"Why do you need to know?" I asked stuck-up and folding my arms.
"Curiosity... and I am your friend." He shrugged.
"Curiosity killed the cat." I smiled.
"I'm glad, I'm not a cat then." He smirked. Kyle grabbed by arm and I let them fall loosely by my sides and he held my hand as we walked back to class.
"I wanted to find Sean and find out what the heck is wrong with him." I told him, answering the question he'd asked earlier about why I walked out of class.
"I wouldn't have walked out of class for that... teachers usually don't care about our personal lives so they won't be very happy to know that you are just waltzing out of class to talk to your boyfriend about something that happened during recess." He lectured me. I nodded and walked back into class.
"Cassandra, you have detention at lunch." My teacher told me, I snapped around.
"I can't! I have DEU auditions!" I told him, he didn't care though, I don't even know why I tried to talk to him.
I was meant to do my detention but I got Kyle and Michelle to ask Ms. Burton to get me out of detention, and she did. I aced my audition and even ended up as first reserve rather than last. I changed back into my uniform and started walking back to my area where we sit. On the way I saw Nattie sitting with someone, a guy, and they kissed. So that was why she was so secretive and quiet. I kept walking to see if I knew the guy, my face dropped when I saw who it was... Sean! She and Sean had been making out behind my back! That's why he hadn't talked to Ms. Burton and why Nattie was so shocked when Sean had hit Kaley.
I ran to Sean and Nattie and tapped Natalie's shoulder.
"Hi." I said forcing a smile.
"Oh crap." Natalie said getting off Sean's lap.
"We were just talking and she didn't wanna sit on the ground" Sean tried to explain.
"That looked more like kissing to me... how long has this been going on?" I asked. Neither of them responded, I walked away nearly in tears and Kyle hugged me when I got to him and Michelle.
"They told us before he hit Kaley, so we didn't have time to tell you. I'm sorry." Michelle told me.
By the end of the day I was a robot, my mind had shut down and I was in la-la land and also completely numb. Not taking anything in, I was just there in body. I got home and my Mum knew something was wrong, she always knows. I sat down with her on the couch and cried until Mum complained that her shoulder was soaked which make me laugh. Because I was upset she bought take-out for dinner and got ice-cream for dessert and we had a movie night.
