My Complicated Love Triangle - Chapter 8
Enjoy and comment.
Alexia and I were on the bleachers even though it was chilly crisp in the air. That didn't seem to bother anyone, in fact more people were outside during lunch than inside.
"I can't believe that Thalia said that to you." Alexia chewed on a chip.
"Well she did. And to say she isn't that bad?" I shook my head nonchalantly.
"So how did asking Andy to the dance go?" I asked.
"I was so nervous but the cutest thing happened. The cheerleaders came out with dozens of roses and he asked me."
"That's so sweet." I said.
"It was," she waved down the field where Andy and Adam were playing football.
"Do you plan on going to the dance?"
"Nope." I shook my head, that night I have plans for me and Mr. K but I still didn't talk to him about.
"How come?"
"I don't know, dances aren't my thing." I answered.
"I bet you and Adam would look so cute together at the dance."
"There's no way I would date Adam. Besides I have a boyfriend." I bit my tongue from saying who it was.
"What? Who? Since when?" Alexia sounded astonished.
"After a month I came. A college guy." I quickly came up with the answer.
"Ooh a college guy." I nodded, well it was sort of true. Mr. K did go to college.
"Do you know how long I've waited for this." I whispered into Mr. K's arms inhaling his scent.
"I feel the same way." I looked up at him smiling as I bit my lip wanting his lips the adrenaline and the uncertainty that we could end up getting caught kicked in my chest. His hands were at my hips bringing me closer as our lips touched. We heard voices in the hallway and we quickly pulled away. I grabbed a Sketchbook on his desk quickly. The classroom door opened as a teacher came studying us.
"Alright thanks Mr. K, I'll try to fix my drawing then start on my bigger one." I turned away, face flushed, he nodded catching on.
"Have a good day Miss Casey." Mrs. Lu said as I walked out.
I couldn't believe we almost got caught. I hope Mrs. Lu didn't catch on. I was hesitant as I walked up the short steps to his place.
"Casey," he murmured.
"Can I come in?" I asked he opened the door wide and moved aside.
"What happened?" My pulse quickened. If Mrs. Lu did catch on, this would be the end of us. Mr. K would get fired all because of me. I didn't want either of those to happen.
"Mrs. Lu almost caught on. Casey we can't do that at school."
"She almost caught on?" My voice caught in my throat.
"She was questioning on why you were there late. When students were supposed to be gone," he sighed "I told her I was helping you fix your project."
"Oh my. We could've gotten caught. All because of me." I whispered.
"Casey," he leveled his eyes with mine, "It's not your fault. We got caught in the moment." I was afraid to ask what came to my mind but I had to ask.
"What now? So is that it? We're done?" He sighed.
"We just need to be more careful." I was relieved that what we have isn't over.
"I'm lucky to have you." I said. Mr. K didn't say anything but kissed me with such force but I found myself kissing him back with the same force. Adrenaline kicked in but I felt completely relaxed here. I wasn't afraid that we were gonna get caught. All that mattered was we're together.
"Are you hungry?" Mr. K asked me, I nodded.
"Dinner is almost done," he said checking his watch.
"It smells incredible." I walked over to where he was standing. He wrapped his arms around me and lightly kissed me when a timer went off.
"A timer?" I joked.
"A good chef always needs one," he replied pulling out a chair.
"I'll be the judge of that." I smiled. He served us some enchiladas with a green bean casserole on the side.
"Mhm," the food tasted incredible. It made my taste buds explode.
"This is absolutely delicious," I said.
After eating dinner we decided to watch 'The Planet of the Apes'. I snuggled close to his masculine frame.
"Casey, Casey," he murmured into my ear.
"Hmm?"
"The movie is over."
"What time is it?" I asked him, sitting up not fully awake.
"Almost 12," shit.
"I gotta go, can I use your phone?" He nodded and handed me his cell phone. I dialed the cab business.
"Thanks for dinner it was amazing." I went on my tippy toes to kiss him, our arms wrapped around each other's body.
"We're still on for Saturday?" I asked him.
"Absolutely," he answered giving me a smile.
"Bye Mr. K."
"Mr. K makes me sound old. From now on call me Merrick," he said still smiling.
"Merrick?" I questioned, "Yeah I like that." I opened the door, Merrick standing in the doorway.
"Lassie that man isn't to be messin' with," the cab driver said so. He's from Ireland.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"Has he not told you Lassie?" Tell me what. What was to be said?
"I'm sorry what exactly are you trying to tell me?"
"Best if he were to tell ya." I nodded.
"Thank you keep the change," what is Merrick hiding? I thought. The cab driver knew but I didn't?
"Casey?" Harper's voice rang.
"Yeah?" I didn't know what was going on.
"We need to talk," it was my dad. Whenever he said those words it wasn't good news. I walked over to the dinner table where they were seated at. Harper was rubbing my dad's back soothing him. My dad looked tired, worried and above all mad.
"Yeah?" I said again, my dad motioned to the chair meaning to seat.
"What's this all about?" I asked.
"Casey where have you been?" He asked.
"With a friend. I know it's late and I'm sorry I fell asleep." I answered.
"We hardly ever spend time as a family anymore. Your grades are slipping."
"I have a couple of D's I can bring them up. I've been caught up with school work. I'm trying my best so I can graduate and get a scholarship."
"If I don't see an improvement with your grades. It would be best to enroll you to the Catholic school," he finished Catholic school?
"Is that even necessary dad?" I looked at him.
"If it comes to that then yes."
"You make it sound like I'm doing drugs, sleeping around." I said getting irritated.
"Casey I'm just worried about you," he said.
"Dad I'm fine there's no drugs. I'm not sleeping around. I'll bring my grades up, be home on time. Spend some quality family time. But please I don't want to go to another school, make new friends."
"Alright," he said getting up and walking upstairs.
"I love you Casey," he said.
"Love you too dad." It is his best intentions.
"Good night sweetie. Don't worry about your father. Get some rest." Harper said.
"Night." I said as Harper went up the stairs.

Ria: Thank you and I'm trying my best to get more action between the two. Any suggestions?
SaraM: Thank you, I know right. The show is just great. I doubt you aren't a good writer, I'm certainly not but I try. Again a big thank you for your support.
Teehee: Thank you, I'm trying my best with the story. As I mentioned before I also agree I'm trying my best to have more between the two. And no worries an input is better than none.
Khadija: Of course I am. What do you think so far?
