My Brothers Curse - Chapter 9

Eventually I calmed down and silently accepted the fact that no one found this werewolf family so no one took one of the boys away. They have never officially told us what happens to the other twin when they get taken away but we know they kill them.
Stephan and Nolan were lucky to still have each other. Stephan was the one that spoke with this edge and I didn't like it but those times back at the house... I think Nolan was the one speaking to me but I didn't ask. It was just a silent guess.
I was just with Edmund in that little room. He Just sat on the end of the bed and watched me while I sat in the corner on the bed. I had my arms wrapped around my legs which were cold in this house so I was glad I had a long dress on.
"I'm your sister." I told him.
His expression showed me he was confused. "I know that Nessa,"
"Why do you think I never turned you into the Center?" I demanded.
"Because..." He started a sentence wrong. "I think you didn't turn me into the center because you love me."
"Do you love me Edmund?"
"Of course i do."
"Then why are you going to kill me?" I asked.
He stared at me dumbly. "Nessa I won't ever let anyone hurt you!" He snapped.
"I heard you talking with Stephan. You guys don't trust me with your secret."
"Nessa I would never let Stephan touch you! Do you believe me?"
"You couldn't stop them from taking Tatiana." I whispered. "If someone wanted to kill me could you stop them?"
"I was younger and weaker then. I'm not now and I'll do everything to protect you!" he assured me.
"Then why am I here? Why was I kidnapped from my home?"
"We need to protect you. We told the council that you were our spy on the inside and that you let both Ben and Stephan out. Now they want to talk to you and I don't want you to have to. They don't like... Humans. I'm afraid they will take you from me."
I had to stay with the twins. Edmund had to go back home. He had to tell people that I had disappeared. Two days before the night of the curse. My brother didn't tell anyone about my disappearance until after the full moon.
I was announced dead.
Edmund pretended to be torn up when he told the werewolf council thing that a rouge werewolf killed me one night. Well that's what Nolan told me. There is a chance I can't trust anyone.
Stephan whined constantly how having me around was a hassle with his friends but he never complained that I was cleaning every mess the boys made in their house and that I cooked whatever they wanted. Nolan told me Stephan was thankfully to have a girl in the house to clean and cook because they hated both of those things.
There are things that Nolan has taught me. About werewolves and that stuff. I never knew these things and the center has been trying to get this much information for a long time.
