My Attempt at Suicide

You hear of all these teen suicides
And think they are so sad!
You never think that could be you
Until one thing pushes you over the edge.

The difference between
Those who choose to die and
Those who don't is that
Some people can handle a problem
Better than others.

It could be love, stress or the past
Is finally catching up
I'm almost pushed past, my limit
Please help me!
I don't want to be here anymore.

I think I need help
But no one will give it to me,
Will you change that?
If not, live your "happy" lives.

And forget about little ol' me,
Who won't live longer
Than my grandmother,
I pay my last dues and jump...
Yet I'm still here to tell the tale.
