Jama Masjid:

It is one of the largest mosques in India. Devotees also call the pious place as Masjid-i-Jahan Numa and make all possible effort to offer prayer here, at least once in their life-time. Apart from devotion, it also known for its architectural brilliance.

The large courtyard of Jama Masjid can hold about 25, 000 thousand devotees at a time. The gate on the northern side of the mosque has 39 steps, while in the southern side has 33 steps. The royal entrance i.e on the eastern side is followed by 35 steps. The whole measurement of the mosque is about 261 feet long and 90 feet wide. Its roof is supported with three domes, all decorated in alternate strips of black and white marbles, gold and red sandstones.

Ajmer Sharif:

The dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chisti is one of the holy destination in Ajmer, Rajasthan. It is just 135 km from Jaipur and is one of the major pilgrimage attraction in the India. Devotees of all faith believe to visit the place and offer gilaf(velvet cloth), flowers, money etc here. A number of rituals are performed and high-pitched Qawwali is a must-enjoy one. The tomb was constructed by Emperor Humayun and later renovated by other Mughal rulers like Akbar, Shahjahan etc.

Haji Ali Dargah:

It is one of the remarkable mosque, situated on an islet off coast of Worli in Mumbai. Legend has it that a Muslim Saint Haji Ali has built it 1431 and meditated on the very bank for years long. Many a times, sightseers has appreciated its beauty and devotion and till date it stands as a landmark in Islamic Architectural catalog. Devotees from far across visit here for offering prayer and it is said the Saint blesses his believers with all best wishes. Besides, one can enjoy hours of refreshment, with hanging around the exposed rock on the sea beach.

Sheikh Salim Chisti:

Situated in the Mughal city of Fathehpur Sikri in Agra, the mosque is dedicated to Sheikh Salim Chisti, the descendant of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti. It was built by Emperor Akbar as a sign of tribute to the Saint and his blessing to the King. The pillars of the masterpiece depicts the typical Gujarati style of architecture and each corner is furnished with marble latticed walls. The interior portion of the pillar is of ivory, while the outer portion is in inscribed with Arabic verses taken from the holy Quran.

The mosque has great religious significance and pilgrims of all religion offer prayer here. Many believe to tie cotton thread on the sacred pillar and receives blessing of offspring.
