MP3 News: Crowded House Return with Their Latest album Time on Earth

At the heart of the album there is a sense of loss – loss of their drummer, Paul Hester, who committed suicide in 2005. Observant listeners will not miss the several allusions made to Hester in many of their songs. Neil Finn’s ability to adroitly string words together and form something of transcendent beauty emanates through most of the songs in this album. The band lives up to its reputation of dishing out memorable and impressive guitar hooks. Ultimately, The Time on Earth is something that all Crowdie fans will want to pick up to keep with them forever for many reasons.

Crowded House is a four piece band from Melbourne, Australia. At the core of the erstwhile totally down-under band is New Zealander & singer-songwriter Neil Finn along with Nick Seymour (bass, backing vocals) from Australia and Mart Hart (guitar, keyboards) and Matt Sherrod (drums and percussions) from America. The band has had a dynamic inventory of musicians. Some of the former band members are Paul Hester, Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Peter Jones and Craig Hooper.
