Movie Tickets
Watching movie in a theater is like entering into a dream world. All you need to do to make your fascinations and dreams come true is book your movie tickets and venture into the dream world…
Those days are over and let bygones be bygones. Today, Theater and Movie Guides have extensive information on every movie theater, including what movies are playing as well as show times. One can also read reviews of both individual theaters and movies before hand and could decide what one wants to watch.
Movie tickets sales worldwide have increased which is good news for Hollywood. But if industry wants to continue to grow, they have to recognize that the best thing to do is to make movies everyone wants to see and very importantly, remember that cinema will become an encyclopedia for the future generations to understand about the yesteryears. Hence lies the responsibility with the production houses that while they entertain us, it is imperative to address the global issues at large.
If you are lucky or if you decide to watch a movie no one is interested in, you will get the movie tickets on the ticket counter just before the show. One can also book the movie ticket in advance through various ways. It is always advisable to plan ahead and buy a ticket in advance.
Titanic remains the leader in the box office collection globally $ 1835.4 million. Hollywood movie ticket sales around the world dropped by 7.9 percent last year to 23 billion dollars, with the US box office accounting for nearly 40 percent of the haul. Any number of excuses cannot hide this fact that nothing can put down a good movie, be it piracy and raising the ticket prices is not the solution to this problem. The only available solution is to make better movies.
According to Screen Digest’s Cinema Index survey, which compares the cost of the movie ticket to average earnings around the world, the lower the number in minutes, the less expensive a cinema ticket is relative to earnings power. The top two countries are very good examples of how the Index can be interpreted. Whilst Indian net hourly earnings are relatively low (at $0.70 per hour), the average cinema ticket is also very low (at $0.19), which evens out the relatively low levels of both and results in an average of 16.6 minutes to earn enough money to but a cinema ticket. At the other end of the scale, the average US net hourly income is $15.20.
Personally, I love watching movies in theatres rather than watching them on DVD or TV. Watching movies in a theatre is an experience by itself. It wasn't always so, but today’s digital effects are so subtle and superb that all fascinations and imaginations come to life and it is so beautifully presented that movie audiences often don't notice them. It definitely guarantees worth for the money. Again, if you plan to watch a movie, it is always advisable to book the tickets in advance to avoid the last minute rush. Happy watching!
