The following article offers tips for making your own movie drinking games. Read on...
So your friends are coming over on Saturday night and you all have planned to watch a movie and share some drinks together? Want to spice up the evening a bit? Mix the movies and drinks together and plan some fun games! Wondering how to do this? Scroll down for some interesting ways of planning and playing this party game...

The first thing that you have to do is to choose a movie. Since, you are planning this fun game for adults, choose a movie which you have seen umpteen times, a movie from which you retain the characters, plots, dialogs, etc. Once you have selected the movie, watch it again. Note down any distinctive phrases, words, lines and dialogs that are repeated again and again. Kissing scenes, fights, any cliché, note everything. Also, keep a track of the number of times, each of these "happenings" is repeated in the film.

Once you have noted down everything, cross those "happenings" which are not "typical" of that genre or which repeat only once or twice in the movie. Next, the "happenings" which take place very regularly, keep a rule to "drink once" on them. Those which occur just four to five times, make a rule to "drink twice" on them. After this, arrange the list in a sequence, the way these "happenings" occur in the film. Print copies of this final list and give it to all your friends. Here are two actual movie games that you can keep.

Horror Drinking Games
When it comes to drinking games, horror movies are my personal favorite. There are so many "typical" scenes in horror movies, that you get a lot of chances to take a drink together. So you can make rules like "drink twice" every time you see an actor or actress screaming, running up the stairs, being attacked from behind, falling from a height and still surviving or shouting for help. "Drink once" if any actor or actress is chased by the killer, if the background music starts, if the killer speaks to his victim, if the scene has been ripped off from some other horror flick or whenever an actor/actress actually gets killed!

Once the movie ends, you can have a lot of fun keeping a quiz on the movie trivia. You can keep questions about the names of the characters, the number of people who got killed in the movie, any address or phone number that was used in the movie, etc. Whoever answers these questions correctly, can ask anyone else in the group to take a "tequila" shot or drink something neat!

Disney Drinking Games
Almost all Disney movies have a central character who is a talking animal. Almost all Disney movies have scenes wherein the characters break into a song abruptly. Almost all Disney movies have a love story! So what do you do when such "typical" things happen? Simple, take a drink and enjoy watching them with your friends. Here is list of "happenings" or "scenes" on which you can make it a rule for everyone to drink.
  • An animal character walks on two legs.
  • One of the characters faces a life danger but is rescued in time.
  • There is a physical fight amongst the main characters.
  • There is a kissing scene.
  • Three-four characters start singing together.
  • Whenever an evil character appears on screen.
  • There is an adult joke.
Likewise, you can find out some more peculiarities of Disney movies and include them in your game. Do not forget the fun quiz at the end of the movie!

So the next time you have friends over for drinks, indulge them in some crazy fun by planning such interesting games!
