Motorized Treadmill Options Are Varied

In their most simplified form, motorized treadmill models are quite literally models that offer a way to move the tread belt to help pace a workout. However, with the large variety of motorized treadmills on the market today, the sky is the limit when it comes to features and pricing for these modern-day workout marvels.

Customers can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 for some of the better motorized models available on the market. Sometimes special discounts are available through retailers or manufacturers themselves, so it pays to look around before buying a treadmill. Also of great importance before a purchase is reviewing the many features these models offer including motor size, warranty, tread belt size (bigger is sometimes better to comfortably accommodate gait), workout programs and more.

With makers such as Proform, Nordictrack, Smooth and Precor making motorized models, it’s oftentimes hard to decide which is the best electric treadmill for the money. The smartest place to start in this instance is by determining in advance how much to spend and which features are most important to an individual buyer.

Proform, for example, offers a variety of treadmill models in its line. The company’s 995SEL model offers an eight-week interactive workout program, a trademarked cushioning system, a pulse sensor, a 2.75 horsepower motor and much more. Previous customers give this model good reviews, and its price is lower than many other options coming in between $600 and $700, depending on specials.

One of Nordictrack’s top models in its treadmill line will set a buyer back a great deal more than the Proform model. The NordicTrack 8600 comes with a multitude of features including a commercial grade 5.0 horsepower motor, a 20-by-60-inch tread belt and more for about $4,000.

Other motorized treadmills made by Smooth and Precor rank well with customers and fall within the standard electric treadmill price range of about $1,000 to $4,000 for home-use models. Customers can do themselves a good service by reviewing the options, considering reviews and setting spending limits in advance.

If you’re in the market for a motorized treadmill, take a little time to see what’s available, compare your needs and desires, along with your budget, with what manufacturers are offering and go from there. If a little advance research is done, the final decision should come much more easily.
