"Mother's & Children"

Her days have grown old
And the senses too cold
She's watched them grow up
Knowing all and so bold

The one's she thought cared
False colors they shared
The truth of their matter
Meant nothing but splatter

She should have seen through
The thoughtlessness of
True meanings displayed
And lies there above

But most Mothers don't see
If she does she won't tell
How her heart aches and pangs
Until she serves them all well

She'll keep them all safe
Even right till the end
Her pride to protect
Their love hoping to win

What will it take
To make them finally see?
And even if they will listen
Does it sink in deep?

No, her death it does take
What a shame this is
A Mother they love
A corpse lies within

The body they cuddled
As a child she would sing
The songs they loved
The laughter she brings

Yes a shame it is & now she's gone
Too much has been said
No rights if it's wrong
They can't say, "I'm sorry"
They can't kiss goodbye
Nothing to do
But teach their own and ask why.
