Mother And Daughter

The relationship I have with my mother at times its true…
I hate the way you always lie, you do it yourself, then wonder why.
The way I deal with things, I’ve learnt from you, I know you don’t believe me, but yes, it’s true.

You expect me to do things right when you’ve only shown me the wrong.
I wish it could be different, bit you’ve waited far too long, you wonder why I act this way, I’ve learnt it form you, and now I don’t want to stay.

You think you know me, but you don’t, you think I’ll tell you, "No, I won’t!"
If you really loved me, you’d be willing to find out, but because you’re hypocritical, I just want to scream and shout.

I wish you’d stop, just for me, I really shouldn’t have to plead,
I only know what I’ve been taught, don’t deny it, you’ve been caught. You see what I do, I know you don’t like it, but you should see you.

Now you’ve shown me way too much, I don’t want to learn, I’ve had enough!
I’m not going to repeat after you, I’m going to be different, because I want to.

If I listen to you, I might do something wrong, and this is something, I’ve learnt on my own.
Don’t be shocked when I don’t say "Goodnight." I really don’t want to have another fight.

I’ve learnt the difference between right and wrong, and sorry Mum, but your chance has gone.
