Monkey Swallows the Universe – Latest Mp3 Out

Just like their name, the musical aptitude of Monkey Swallows the Universe is no trite stuff. At the core of this group from Sheffield, England is the founding duo of Nat Johnson and Kevin Gori. Add to that, Andy George on Cello, Rob Dean on drums and Catherine Tully on violin. I think there is a certain affinity towards the simian species in that particular part of England. You’d know what I am talking about if you know The Arctic Monkeys well enough. Ifs you haven’t heard them you can download music by using free peer to peer music sharing programs. Then there’s Jem. If you like Jem’s voice but would like to be able to avoid cheese being thrown into your face, you’ve definitely got to listen to Nat Johnson’s voice to know what a good voice coupled with MSTU’s lyrical and musical capabilities can do to cure the effects of hackneyed tunes.

That said I am in no way trying to compare Jem and MSTU. Jem is a different genre altogether. When Nat uses her mellifluous voice to sing astonishingly amazing string of words -- The choice is yours, the chance is yours/But chances are/you’ll think it’s far enough to stay right where you are/The choice is yours, the chance is yours -- you get transported back to the carefree causal indie pop era of the 80s.

This band that heavily relies on acoustics and lyrics has recently come out with their latest single called Little Polveir. When I first heard their song Florence from their Science, I didn’t think they could possibly top that tune. I was wrong. Their title track, Little Polveir is my favorite tune at the moment. Matterhoney is a detour from their signature style. The freshistic sound immediately registers itself on the artsy side of your brain (that would be the right side of your brain). Add to that its amusing video made out of snippets taken from here and there and you have a delightful package. Science is a low key song with a tune as beautiful as Nat herself.

The official band’s website is now letting people download free mp3 of some of their songs. If you like the samplers, you can download more of their music using any of the free peer to peer sharing programs available today that allow you to download unlimited MP3 and other things. These peer to peer sharing programs let you download music, audio albums, latest hits, movies and basically any genre of music.
