Money Online: Direct Sales or Publicity

Profits earn online are not a illusion. One can register profits using this modern way of making money in all countries, but this money comes, as in real life, from direct sales of goods and services or by selling publicity.

Regarding the first method of making money online, things are clear. The comerciant makes a web page where he can show to the world the goods and services he can offer. From various sources visitors come and browse the web page, see if they want to buy anything and buy it online if the site has such an option (most of them do) or go to the real life store of that company and buy from there. The user can choose to buy or not, without worrying that he or she entered a store and went out without buying anything.

The second method to make money by using the internet is to sell publicity or better said to sell web space where the buyer can display it’s desired publicity. The thing is that not all sites can sell space for commercials.

If you own a web site with a huge number of visitors (at least a few thousands a month), a web page that ranks at least 4 in Google Page rank and if Google has indexed for you a considerate number of pages (at least a few hundreds), then you can sell to other web page on you site in witch they can place their banners and links.

Depends on your site’s orientation, you can sell space for publicity to similar website, so visitors that click on their link will make targeted visits. For example if you own a site about natural remedies, you will be able to sell space to online shops that sell natural products or you will be able to promote one or more products that fall in this category. But if you own a site that doesn’t have a domain name and it’s hosted for free, you won’t be able to make money this way. The reason is clear: no one will pay to advertise on a small site.
