Florida mom Casey Anthony was arrested last week in the case of her missing 2 year old daughter after refusing to tell police who is responsible for the act. Anthony has been charged with child neglect and criminal obstruction for lying to detectives. The child, Caylee, was last seen on June 9 but was not reported missing until last week.

Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony, has been making public appeals to ask for help in locating the child while also defending her daughter’s actions. According to Casey’s mother, her daughter "has her reasons why she just can't blurt out the whole story."

"Casey has been trying to tell the police in her own way what she can tell them and the only unfortunate thing is, you know, they want a clear picture," Anthony, told FOX News. "There's no clear picture. Casey has her reasons why she just can't blurt out the whole story, so she's been honest with them for what she can be honest with."

"People don't know that Caylee's missing, and they may have been the one to see her," Anthony said. "I'm letting the police department focus on the whys, whats, wheres, whens."

Cindy Anthony made an appearance on Monday’s "Today" Show and admitted that Casey Anthony knows who has the little girl. She also said that Casey should be released from jail so she can be involved in the search for the toddler. There have been many people who have volunteered to distribute 50,000 fliers and canvass surrounding Orlando neighborhoods. The Never Lose Hope Foundation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Caylee’s whereabouts.

On Monday, Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, said his client’s bond hearing is scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon.

"My client at no time refused to speak with law enforcement," he said at a Monday press conference. "We are focused on trying to find Caylee. We want to find Caylee."

Baez told the press that his law firm is also conducting a separate investigation, because "police in our opinion has been focusing more on prosecuting her than exonerating her. It’s absolutely absurd that she was denied bond."

Baez says Anthony is "doing her best to keep it together" in jail. "They have put her in a situation that is very difficult. Her underwear is taken from her. All she has is a blanket in a small room."

Currently, detectives have few new leads. Law enforcement officials are investigating claims that Casey Anthony "received a mysterious call from her daughter" last Tuesday.

"We believe Casey knows where the girl is because everything she’s told us so far has turned out to be lies," Orlando sheriff's spokesman Carlos Padilla said on Sunday. "We're making phone calls to anyone who has had contact with her to see if she's said something."
