Ingredients
  • 1½ cups white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3½ tsp baking powder
Preheat the oven to 175º C. Anoint and flour a 9*13 inches skillet. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt, and then set it aside. Now, in a bowl, mix sugar and shortening until it becomes light. Add eggs one by one, and beat the mixture thoroughly. Now add flour and milk and mix till a mixture gets formed. Then add vanilla extract and pour the batter into the prepared skillet. Bake at 175º C for 40 to 45 minutes. Let it cool before serving.

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp butter (unsalted)
  • 1¾ cups sugar, granulated
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs and 3 egg yolks (separate)
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
Preheat the oven to 175º C and arrange the rack in between. Grease 2 cake pans of 8 inch each, with flour and butter and set aside. Now mix baking powder, flour, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl and mix quickly to prevent a lump formation. Set that mixture aside and add butter to a stand mixer which has a paddle attachment. Stir the mixture for about three minutes, until it turns light in color, now add vanilla and sugar and keep stirring. When it is finely mixed, add egg yolks and beat finely. Stop the mixer and remove the mixture in a bowl. Add the other eggs to the mixer, when the eggs are finely beaten and remove the mixture to a bowl.

Now again add flour in a mixer, add milk to the flour and mix well till there are no lumps. Now spread the batter on the prepared pans, bake for about 35 to 40 minutes. Remove the pan and let it cool for 15 minutes. You can also add your favorite frosting to add a personal flavor to it.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter (unsalted)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1¼ cups buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 175º C, butter two 8*2 pans, line them with parchment paper and set aside. Take a bowl and sift salt, baking powder and flour. Place butter in the bowl of a mixer which has a paddle attachment. On medium speed, beat for 3 minutes, till the butter is light and creamy. Add ¼ cup of sugar at a time and beat for one minute and repeat the process after every one minute. After all the sugar has been beaten, remove the mixture in a bowl. Add vanilla to buttermilk and mix it in the mixer for 15 seconds, keep adding one egg at a time between the mixer twirls.

Spread the batter on the prepared pan and smoothen it out with a knife. Let the batter, along with the pan drop onto the counter top a few times, to burst air bubbles before baking for 40-45 minutes.

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 box instant pudding
Preheat the oven at 175º C. Mix the ingredients together and add them to the cake pan. Bake for around 50 minutes or till the cake turns brown. Frost confectioners' sugar over it.
