MLM Leads - Who Wants To Be Found?

Being a part of the Multi Level Marketing, or better known as MLM business, you need leads to generate sales. You have two options to getting leads, either buy them or get them yourself. When you buy leads from a lead generating company, you get the leads but you don't really know how current they are. So when buying leads make sure to ask the company you buy them from the following questions; How old are the leads? What category do they fall under? How many times have the leads been sold? And have the leads been verified? You need to make sure that the leads you buy will be beneficial to you. It would be rather useless to be contacting people who have no interest at all in your product or services.

The other choice is to get your own leads. The best way is to do it through your website or by advertising. You can get leads by offering free information or by sending newsletters to people who are interested in what you do or sell. You can also make surveys asking people who visited your site for suggestions and comments then request for their contact information. Offer a free e-book, a discount coupon, whatever it takes to get the information you need from them. Since they were on your site, there must be some level of interest and you just need to push for a sale.

Keep in mind that all leads are not of the same value. There are 3 types of leads. First are the targeted high quality leads, meaning they are really interested. These are potential clients that willingly requested for information on a certain service or products just like you have probably done. If you ever looked for something on the Internet and left your contact information to receive whatever was being offered, then you were a targeted lead. Next are the direct response leads. These are not exactly the same as targeted leads, these are more of the around the bush leads.

Let's say I was looking at music videos online and you had an add pop up for a new mp3 player. I wasn't looking for an MPp3 player but it interested me so i gave my information. Next are the cheap unresponsive leads. These are the leads that have been used over and over again. We can't all afford the good stuff, so sometimes we have to scramble through the used stuff in the hopes to find a few great things.

Whichever way you decide to generate your leads, the next step is contacting the potential clients. A big mistake some people make is waiting too long before contacting them. Time gives people the opportunity to loose interest, be interested in another product, change their minds or it's like asking your competitors to call them before you do. This especially applies to leads that have been bought from a lead generating company.

What is the earning potential of MLM leads? First off its a lot better than cold calling people at home. You don't know who they are, they don't know who you are and there is no connection between you two at all. You could be selling chocolate bars to a diabetic old lady. Proper leads give you an advantage of some sort of connection no matter how minimal it may be. The connection has been established, there is a will to buy, its just a matter of sealing the deal.
