MLM and the Information Marketing Industry-Hand in Hand?
Selling of information products is a huge industry making millions every month. Network marketing and MLM is a huge industry making people millions every month. Doesn't it make sense that they could go hand in hand.
Do you know how there is an industry out there that makes millions of dollars every month with very little overhead, very little production costs, no inventory, but creates huge profits?
That industry is information marketing. What do I mean by that or what is it you ask?
Basically it is the selling of information. Mostly "How-to's" and it is
a huge industry. People are always looking for information on how to do things. Whether it is a more money, better relationships, fixing something, the categories are endless.
In the past it was done via, books. Well with books, you do have overhead. You do have inventory. And you do have production costs.
And believe me, those three things cut into profits enormously.
Well since the age of computers and the internet there is now an information industry that has popped up that eliminates all those costs because it is distributed digitally.
You know, e-books. You probably have a few yourself. And I don't know if you noticed, but those e-books are often priced more expensively that their physical brothers, hard copy books.
Why? Because generally, when people are looking for information online, they are looking for the solution now. And with a well written sales letter, an e-book is sold right on the spot. No need to drive to Barnes and Nobles. Their solution is right there.
What does that have to do with your MLM Network Marketing business?
Plenty.
As I have taught in the past, you never want to lead with your business opportunity. That is the kiss of death. There is no way for you to stand out to a person looking for a way to make more money.
You pitch your business opportunity first, you will be there with hundreds of others, with no way to differentiate yourself.
I have advocated the method of the funded proposal system. And the linchpin or the beginning of that process is the selling of an information product.
When people are online looking for a way to make money, what are they looking for? No, they are not looking for the best product for energy, or the best product for health, or the best product to cure what ails you.
No, they are looking for a solution to their problem. Whether that problem is needing more money, wanting more time freedom, more time with family, whatever, they need a solution.
And if you present your greatest product in the world, does that solve their problem? Big fat NO.
Now if you take the funded proposal angle of offering a solution to their problem, namely your information product, now you get a ready and willing prospect with credit card in hand. How many of those prospects would you want for your business?
Offering the information product first kicks off your sales funnel. It
is called a funded proposal because it accomplishes these things, tell me if they are your ideal prospect:
You generate income on the front end (imagine that, actually make money while recruiting prospects for your business)
A prospect willing to spend money on building a business (no more deadbeat broke leads to talk to)
A prospect familiar with the industry, Network Marketing, who embraces the industry (no more having to explain residual income or the benefits of building a team. they get it)
A prospect that looks to you as the expert that can help them solve their MLM problems.
If you could make money while recruiting, and the prospects you produce have money and want to use it to build a business, would there be an end to the number of these types of leads you would want to produce?
Can anyone say "endless leads"? You think your business would finally grow?
