Mixed Feeling

Why is this mixed feeling?
She is ecstatic with his home coming.
His feelings are not revealing.
Happiness and tension walk side by side.
Perfectly matched is step and stride.
This mixture is very strange.
Its’ sweet and sour as orange.
Similarity in irritability brings tension.
Short temper shared by both causes tension’s precipitation.
Why is happiness evading them?
Always his work is at the helm.
He is thrown out of home very often.
Temporary relocation keeps them apart by compulsion.
Once in a while, they meet.
Temper and tension erupt by default.
‘Happiness revealed’ and ‘happiness not revealed’ suffer.
Both act as buffer.
Under control is the situation.
What an awkward condition?
Poor happiness, what a role to play?
It has nothing to say.
This is a ‘regular’ in their life.
More than husband, it is expected by the wife.
That his home coming brings great… happiness;
A full stop to their loneliness;
But, why does the tension tag along?
And prevent her from singing a duet song??!!
