Chapter 9

-AUSTIN’S POV-

I punched my locker with my fist, very frustrated, trying to get it open. That didn’t help much…Ugh, my locker was always jammed. Out of nowhere, Jacob, my best friend, came up and pushed me out of the way. In a second, he got my locker open.

"How do you know my combination…? Stalker much?" I joked but happily grabbed my text books out.

He shrugged and grinned. "I’m your best friend. Anyway, who are you taking to the dance, Austin?" Jake nudged me in the ribs lightly.

"Selena, but it’s not what you think. It’s just for revenge. See, I’m going to make her fall for me HARD and then tell her it was all a joke at the dance while everyone is listening. Genius, isn’t it? She will be so humiliated…" I replied with a huge grin on my face.

His brown eyes were bulging out and his mouth was hanging open.

"Dude, that’s harsh…"

I shrugged, blushing like mad. "I know but she deserves it. You better not tell her about this plan! YOU HAVE TO PLAY ALONG!"

Then Jake shook his head and cracked a smile.

"I know you like her."

WHAT?! Was it that obvious?! Jake was one of the most oblivious people I knew. If he knew then that meant EVERYONE knew!

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I DON’T LIKE A MIDGET EMO!!" I screamed right in his ears.

"DUDE! First of all, you need to CHILL! And second of all, since the first time I saw you two together, I knew you liked her, man. If you want to hide it, you need to try harder." He smiled and punched my arm lightly. I felt my shoulders slump.

"When are you going to admit it?!" He stared at me intensely.

"Never! ‘Cause I don’t like her!!’ I screamed. I was spazzing out.

"Whatever man. Just grow a dick and admit that you like her! I don’t blame you. She’s smoking’ hot." Now he had perverted look on his face.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever you want to believe, Jake. I already have a dick and I still don’t like her!" I tried to calm down. It would suck if everyone knew.

"You need to grow up and just admit it." Jake was the one who rolled his eyes now. Just then the bell rang. I ran away quickly. No need to go on with this conversation.

It was time for chemistry. Thank god Selena sat next to me in this class. I needed this time to make midget emo fall for me…or at least to make her hate me less.

As I turned the corner, I ran into Angela. Uh-oh, I was sure she was pretty pissed at me for dumping her.

"Oh, hey Angela. I hope you’re not mad at me for what happened the other day…" I looked up at her, shyly.

"Oh, I’m not. Don’t worry about it. I feel MUCH better NOW." She smiled at me, but somehow it didn’t seem right. It kind of seemed evil. Ugh, it was probably all in my head.

Wow, this was definitely not what I expected. This wasn’t like her at all…I instantly had a bad feeling about this. I knew that bitch would get back at me somehow. I really needed to watch out…She could be scarier than Selena sometimes, I knew that all too well.

-SELENA’S POV-

This was really freaky. Was Ken trying to be like Edward Cullen or was he just messing with my head?!

He followed me around the school the whole day and chattered on and on about nothing in particular. The worst part was that I actually started to crave his company…Oh, this was bad.

Ken never called me "midget emo" anymore and he didn’t even make one bad comment about me. He even had the guts to sit next to me in lunch. Everyone stared at me the whole time. It was like the first day of school all over again.

"Okay, seriously, what’s happening?" I asked, suddenly stopping. Ken was walking me to my next class.

"What?" He stopped, too.

"What did you do to the bitchy Ken I know?" I poked at Austin’s muscular chest with my index finger.

He chuckled and shrugged. "I’m still here. I just realized that I really like you, Selena." He blushed a bright pink.

I had to laugh at that. "Right…You must have forgotten your medications this morning." I mumbled, but in the inside I wanted to believe that he was telling the truth so badly…It just didn’t make any sense, though!

"No, I’m not joking." He looked dead serious.

"Whatever your smoking, you need to stop because it's making you crazy." I laughed it off, while my stomach fluttered with joy.

OH MY LLAMA, did I just frigging think that?! "My stomach fluttered with joy"?! What the fuck…I was seriously scaring myself now.

Oh, please help me Lord.
