In tears Rain ran towards Brayden's house. Just as she felt like her life was in place it crumbles to pieces, she thought. She walked up the stairs to Brayden's house. As she wiped her tears away someone walked up to her.
"Rain?" spoke that annoyingly smooth voice that she secretly loved. She turned around to face Matt.
"H..Hey. What ar..are you doing ...h..here? she choked out between sobs.
"I should be asking you the same thing. Why are you standing in front of my cousin's house?" he asked startled.
"Brayden's y...your cou..sin? Um.. ca..can you tak..e me to the hos...hosp..hospital?" she cried, trying so hard to get the last word out.
"Yeah he is, is it that surprising? Um, okay but why? What happened?" he asked, now looking worried.
"I'll expl..ain o.n th.e w..ay" she cried, thinking of the tragedy that has ruined her whole year.

MATTS POV-
I can't believe something so awful has happened to her. Two of her brothers and her sister in a car crash? That must be so hard to deal with. I can't stand seeing her beautiful face so sad. I'd better do my best at cheering her up, although I really suck with that emotional crap.
We got to the hospital and she sprinted to the room, my god she's fast when she wants to be. The nurse stopped her and told Rain that they were all asleep so she would have to wait outside. It was only 10pm but Rain looked exhausted, probably from all that running and crying.
"Shhh... baby, just sleep" I comforted her as she fell asleep in my arms.
"God this is gonna end bad, real bad" he whispered to himself.

RAIN POV
The last thing I her was Matt saying "Shhh... baby, go to sleep". He called me baby and I didn't even protest... god, do I like him already? No, I can't, remember what he said to you at lunch? He's such a jerk!!! But then again, he was so sweet, taking me to the hospital and comforting me and stuff... I have no idea what Selena had talked about earlier that day; he is really nice when he wants to be. Okay rain, snap out of it!!!
"Shhh... are you okay?" whispered Matt, probably sensing that I was awake.
"Hmmm... yeah I'm fine" I smiled, for the first time since I heard about the accident.
"Okay, go back to sleep." He smiled softly.
"Ummm... Matt? Thanks, for everything." I mumbled.
"I'll be here when you wake up." he said, relaxed, kissing my forehead.
