Mincemeat Pie Ingredients

Majority of us who are fans of mincemeat pie ingredients, don't have the time to make it from scratch. If that's the case with you, then take a look at these delicious, easy-to-prepare mincemeat pies.
Pies are among my favorite desserts, and if you add mincemeat into it, I can't help but drool. Few ingredients in mincemeat pies are beef suet (of course), buts, brandy, rum, dried apricots, apples or pears, dried cherries, and many more. Mincemeat pie ingredients are supposed to be prepared one month in advance, but I can never wait that long. So, I choose the ready-to-use mincemeat found in the supermarket. Cheesecake Mincemeat Pie

Ingredients
  • 2 cups prepared mincemeat
  • 1, 10-inch baked pie crust
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 12 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tablespoon vanilla
Directions
Mix mincemeat and walnuts together and spread it over the baked pie crust. Take a separate large bowl to combine eggs, cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and milk. With an electric mixer, beat the mixture properly. Pour this mixture over the mincemeat ingredients and spread it evenly. Put it in a 375ºF oven for 30-35 minutes. Now take a different bowl and stir in 2 tablespoons sugar, sour cream, vanilla. Smear it over the cooked pie and bake for another 5 minutes. Once the pie is cool, chill it for 5-6 hours before serving.

Apple Mincemeat Pie

Ingredients
  • 2 cups prepared mincemeat
  • 9-inch pastry for double crust pie
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon lemon peel
  • 2 cans applesauce, canned
  • ½ cup brown sugar
Directions
Mix applesauce, mincemeat, lemon juice, brown sugar, and lemon peel properly. Pour the applesauce mincemeat ingredients on half of the pastry. Lightly smear with butter and cut long stripes of the remaining pastry. Arrange into lattice manner on top of the ingredients. Trim and flute the stripes to make standing edge. Put it in a 425ºF oven for 40 minutes. Let the lattice stripes turn golden brown. Once the pie is ready, serve it warm or cold.

Cranberry Mincemeat Pie

Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole cranberries, pitted
  • 2 cups prepared mincemeat
  • 1 pastry for double crust pie
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Butter
Mix flour and sugar together in a small bowl. Add mincemeat and cranberries into it, and mix again. Take half of the pastry into the pie plate and pour the ingredients. Lightly smear with butter, cover the top of the pie with the remaining pastry, and seal the edges properly. Bake it in a 425ºF oven for 30-35 minutes till the crust is brown.

Mincemeat pies take less than an hour's time to prepare, with minimal amount of prep. Indulge your family and friends in these delectable pies.
