An interview Cyrus did with J-14 magazine began making its way around the Internet last week, but the article was allegedly altered to say that she was pregnant. Cyrus, 14, did do an interview with J-14 magazine about her life as a singer and actress on the hit show Hannah Montana, but someone doctored the article calling it "Miley’s Meltdown." In the article is said, "Yes, sadly it’s true. Miley herself confirmed the pregnancy rumors during a J-14 interview. The doctored article also contained this fabricated quote from Cyrus, "I’m going to take good care of my baby, I’ve already gained 7 pounds. I was in real shock when it happened accidentally, I went a little to [sic] far. I’m sorry to all my fans."
Cyrus’ publicist Meghan Prophet reportedly said, "It's 100 percent false. Someone doctored a J-14 article and posted this online. It's ridiculous and completely untrue. Miley is not pregnant. She just wrapped season two of Hannah Montanaand will go on tour beginning Oct. 18." The magazine’s editor-in-chief Janet Giovanelli quickly released a statement that said, "J-14 never reported Miley Cyrus is pregnant. Someone doctored the ‘This Just In’ article that appeared on page 16 of J-14’s July 2007 issue." Giovanelli also said, "Miley is an intelligent, respectable role model for young girls, and we at J-14 pride ourselves on presenting our readers with credible stories and information. This story is completely fabricated!"
Cyrus stars as Miley Stewart on the popular television show Hannah Montana. Her character plays a normal schoolgirl who leads a double life as a pop star by night. Cyrus’ real father, Billy Ray Cyrus, co-stars as her Dad on the show. Cyrus is getting ready to go on tour for the Best of Both Worlds tour where she will perform as herself and as her alter ego, Hannah Montana.
