Mike Tyson’s Daughter Dies After Tragic Accident
Tragedy strikes Mike Tyson as his 4-year-old daughter dies from strangulation in a tragic accident involving a treadmill.
The trials, tribulations and downright strange news surrounded Mike Tyson took an odd and tragic turn yesterday as his 4-year-old daughter was the victim of what police are saying was a "tragic accident." Exodus Tyson, the boxer’s daughter, was strangled by a cord that dangled from a treadmill in her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Said Police Sgt. Andy Hill, "Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there’s a cord that hangs under the console – it’s kind of a loop. Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."
Exodus was discovered by her older brother, who quickly told his mother. Emergency services professional performed CPR and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where it was announced that she was in "extremely critical" condition. Mike Tyson, who had been in Las Vegas but flew into Phoenix quickly after learning of the accident. She died this morning at a Phoenix hospital
Said the boxer in a statement, "The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time." Hill, the responding officer, noted that calls involving children are the most difficult thing he has to face professionally. "Those are the things that stay with you in your career. We always hope for a miracle, not to have the worst happen to a child." Said a neighbor of Exodus and her brother, "It’s terrible. The kids are so sweet. We always see them riding their bikes, playing. They’ve just been wonderful people."
