Midnight Love [Chapter 5]

Being a little more then human, Braxton isn't entirely sure what to do.
School was long for Braxton, especially since he had no lunch to hold him out for the rest the day. During his classes, his stomach rumbled in protest for food. He wasn’t sure how he could be so stupid, he should’ve really been more careful.

Alex didn’t seem to believe him earlier and he didn’t expect her too, his excuse was quickly put together that he wouldn’t even believed it himself. It just had came so quickly, he hadn’t expected that gust of wind to carry her scent to his nostrils. It burnt his chest and took all of his concentration to keep his thoughts clear, though that wasn’t a problem. He mastered keeping himself under control when his body tried to changed without him willing it to.

The smell of flesh no longer made his mouth water, the smell of it actually appalled him when he really brought it to his attention. Being around it so often, he had gotten use to it that it would only really bother him if he thought about it. But, this felt different.

Even though he knew it wasn’t right, he couldn’t resist the temptation to think of the possibility of actually having her. It didn’t seem to matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t stay away.

Braxton chuckled softly at this thought, that he couldn’t stay away? It sounded so cheesy in his mind that he couldn’t help it, even when he was trying to come up with an important decision. Shaking his head, he glanced over to his clock to check out the time, he only had a few minutes left of class.

In ways, he noticed, Alex was just like him. Her only friend seem to be Fret and other seemed to cringe away from her. This he wasn’t sure why, but he has noticed that humans despise anything that was different.

Being different wasn’t exactly what he would use to describe himself. He always had trouble when this thought strayed into his thoughts, for he knew exactly what he was… but he felt he had no purpose? He didn’t know.

He just wasn’t that different on the outside, people had came up to him in the past few days over and over to talk to him. That’s not what he’s really worried about. He was jealous, really, he had been since forever. They don’t know how lucky they really are, they can show who they are, while he has to hide it.

He couldn’t let anyone know he was a werewolf, lycan… whatever people are calling it these days.

But, Alex. She ignored him between classes since lunch, she only really answered his questions when he spoke direct questions to her, but she still ignored him. He wasn’t going to quit, Braxton was determined to have her. Her needed her, before he went crazy.

The bell rang. Grabbing his stuff, he got up and left the room. Walking up to his locker, quickly tossing everything into it and closed it. The sooner he got out of here, the better.

There she stood, her arms crossed against her chest, her dark hair pulled to each side of her. Personally, he liked the green sweatshirt she was wearing, which was zipped partway down, revealing a black shirt underneath.

"What time do you want that tour?" She asked him, the key twirled on her finger.

"Tour…?"

"Yeah, the one you wanted yesterday."

"Oh, yeah," He remembered now, it had been an excuse for a phone call.

"So, we’ll make it a date, new boy," She clenched her key and turned from him, "meet be by the gazebo at seven."

"A date?"

"Yeah. You’re a freak, I’m a freak. Sound perfect to me," then she left him.
