Midnight Love [Chapter 11]
Enjoy...
He felt it right away, the soft touch of her lips pressing gently against his neck. It took him a moment for him to realize what it really was, through he knew right away. At first, Braxton didn’t even allow himself to think it, knowing him he would be imagining the whole thing. Everything from her inching kisses to the motion of her body shifting towards him, it felt like it was all in his head.
The moment came too quickly, it gave him no time to think. He had no time to clear his thought and think of the best way to approach it, which is how he normally came up with an answer, but not now. There was no idea on what she must be thinking, Braxton hadn’t yet broken away from being surprised. At that moment it felt like he couldn’t think and do at the same time.
"Braxton."
He heard her laughed, nothing more than a soft giggle. With her lips up close against his ear, she whispered words to him that made him blush, which resulted to her laughing again.
It was as if a switch had been flicked on and the movie was no more of an importance.
"Finally," Alex’s eyes rolled once their eyes met, yet a smile played at the edges of her lips. His slight reaction was apparently all she wanted.
"You’re too cute," she muttered almost under her breath before her lips captured his.
He barely noticed when her arms slipped along side his neck and rested on the back of the couch, Braxton was too busy trying not to make a fool of himself. He doesn’t do this, he has never done this… he wasn’t even sure what this was. Sure, he knew it was kissing, but he didn’t know what it meant. Relationships are something he’s not suppose to do, he knows for the fact that this is going against all the things his parents have told him.
Yet, he didn’t want to stop. Braxton wasn’t thinking about all the complications that this could bring afterwards, it was impossible to fit that into his mind at the moment. His mind it going too crazy to even think of something like that, right now it was just about to go into overload.
What was he suppose to do with his hands? Is he suppose to do anything with his hands and if he doesn’t and she wanted him to what would she think? Would she think he’s not interested and try to act like she’s done nothing or just wait till it ends way to awkward? Was he kissing her the right way or is he suppose to have his head tilted a little more? Is there even a right way to kiss? Slowly, everything he was thinking about washed away as it go too intense for him and his instincts took over.
Alex’s body melted against his as a reaction to him loosing up, the kissing soon intensifying into something more than the soft kisses it had been before. Just as her lips parted against his, the sound of an opening door and pounding foot steps pulled the two apart within seconds.
Braxton sat there on his side of the couch, trying to get a control of his breathing as he heard Alex’s mother come down to check on them. He thought he remember her telling him something about how her mom was going out for the night… What time was it? Quickly glancing her way, he notice that she was already calmed down and relaxed into the couch as if she was been there all night.
Soon, as Alex’s mom called down her goodnights, she burst out laughing.
"Oh. My. God," she spoke being her little fit of laughter, "classic."
At first, Braxton didn’t answer her back. He could still feel his heart pounding in his chest and along with trying to keep his second half under control, he wasn’t sure if he could speak at the moment. It wasn’t till now that it was hard to control himself. The entire room grew sharper and along his spine began to prickle, a similar sensation to when someone’s foot falls asleep.
"Jeez, Braxton… You don’t need to act like your going to faint or something, it was just my mom… that wasn’t, like, cliché or anything," Alex rambled, her body scooting closer to him, "you know, like, on the movies? Where these steamy make out sessions are going on and then one of the teenager’s parents barge in?"
"Yeah," Braxton said breathlessly, his breathing almost back to normal. Slipping his arm back around her shoulders as she leaned into him, he turned to look back at the TV. By guessing, he was assuming there was about ten minutes of the movie left.
"I’m sorry that happened," Alex muttered, making Braxton to look down as he felt her take his other hand into hers.
"It’s fine," He heard her laugh again, feeling her fingers fiddling with his.
"God, you’re too…. adorable."
"Yeah?" Braxton had to laugh. The way she sounded saying the word adorable, it was just funny to him. Alex didn’t seem like the type who would say words like adorable and cute.
"Yeah, like you seem like you have no idea what to do,."
A wave of panic hit him, "oh.."
"I like it," she told him, slipping out of his arms, "but you probably should go since my mom’s home."
With a little of her help, Braxton got up onto his feet. At first the room spun, his legs felt like he hadn’t walked on them in ages. The moment quickly passed and he nodded, allowing her to lead him towards her door.
"I’ll defiantly see you tomorrow," Alex whispered softly, her lips pressing into his quickly before Braxton stepped into the night.
