Midnight Ch. 2
This is the second chapter. the first chapter is under the sci-fi and fantasy section if you want to read it and i highly recommend you read it before you read this chapter.
I'm sorry that it took so long for me to release this chapter... I have been super busy with my senior project and work and stuff. I want to thank all the people who read and commented the first chapter. It might be a while till I release the chapter after this one. So just a heads up..... So plz comment and give any suggestions and things like that. This also a pic of what Jake looks like.
Jake's POV
God. She was the sexiest thing I have ever seen. Her hair was so red it looked like it was on fire. And her eyes were the strangest color ever. Well. I take that back since for me it's not too uncommon. They were also a fiery red. I know I shouldn't have interfered. But when I saw him push her into his car. I just couldn't stand back and watch. I was raised to help females in trouble. So naturally I would. But with this person. God. I just wanted to fucking kill him. I didn't care who was around. God. What am I saying? I know better than this. I don't understand why seeing her in trouble just got me so angry. She looked almost familiar. I felt attached to her. Like I had to be near her.
Although. I knew that couldn't happen. From the time I was born, I have had a mate. My parents and her parents had arranged it. But sixteen years she disappeared for some strange reason and no one has seen her since. There are still some of us that are still looking for her. But that was in the past so oh well. It doesn't matter. She is safe and that is all that matters. RRIINNGG. RRIINNGG. Damn. Who is calling me this early. Especially since they know I'm at school.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jake. It's me."
"Oh. Hey dad. What do you want. I'm kinda at school right now."
"I know. And that's why I need to tell you at now........We found her."
"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" They finally found her. They finally found my mate. After sixteen years they finally found her.
" OMG.... After all this time. You all found her. I can't believe it. Well where is she. What is her name. Is she still beautiful?"
"Calm down son. I hate to say it but I can't answer your questions because I don't know. All our scouts managed to find out before they were killed is that she goes to your school."
"WHAT!?!?!?!?!? Killed!" Why would they be killed unless there is someone else that doesn't want us to find her.
"So. Your new mission is to find her and bring her home."
"Ha. Easier said than done. Do you know how many people are in this school?"
"Well. Let me narrow it down for you. She's a senior. Other than that, I can't say because I don't know. But be careful. She should be protected. There is someone or something that doesn't want any of us to get near her." just as I thought.
"Dad. You should know better than to worry about me. They not only sent me for this because I'm her life mate but because I'm the strongest one for my age."
"I know but still be careful. We don't know what we're up against."
"Alright dad. See you later. Bye."
"Bye son."
Damn. He couldn't believe it. However. This was going to be hard as hell and we didn't have much time.
Silver's POV
God. The first day of school and already it was going bad. First. There was that whole incident with Matt and the new kid Jake. Second is that all day Matt had been texting me basically threatening me if I don't go back out with him. Second. I had a shitload of homework I had to get done by tomorrow. Well. Not all of her day was bad. Jake was in all of my classes and he always sat beside me and Kristena. It looked like he had something on his mind. But, it wasn't any of my business. The good thing about being a senior was that I had early dismissal. I get out at 12 everyday. So did Kristena and apparently Jake did to.
There was just something about Jake. I couldn't explain it. It was just there. I hear my ringtone 'Be on you' playing. I take it out and look to see who it was. Damn it. It was Matt again. I knew I need to stop avoiding talking to him and just tell him to fuck off but I really didn't want to without someone around. The next thing I know Jake is walking right towards me. When he reaches me I show him who was calling.
"Damn. He just won't leave you alone will he. It looks like I'm going to teach him another lesson." Jake says. I could tell this whole thing with Matt was pissing him off.
"Not yet. I'm going to answer him but I want you right here in case you need to interfere."
"Ok." So I finally answer my phone.
"You stupid bitch why have you been ignoring me all day?"
"First of all. You don't get to call me a stupid bitch and second. We have no reason to talk to each other anymore." I could tell this was going to end badly. I looked over at Jake and I could tell I wouldn't be able to stop him a second time if Matt said something wrong. He would take off and that would be it for Matt.
"You stupid bitch don't you dare talk to me. You belong to me and no one else. You got that?" I hand the phone to Jake because just by looking at him he needed to get some of that anger out. He takes it and he has to take a breath before he starts talking.
"No she doesn't got that you arrogant son of a bitch. She doesn't belong to you and she never will. You EVER txt or call her again, you will have to deal with me and you won't get away this time. Do YOU got that?"
"Who the fuck do you think you are talking to me like that?"
"Apparently I'm the guy that basically kicked your ass earlier or have you forgotten. She belongs to me now and you WILL leave her alone." He hangs up and hands the phone back to me with a smile on his face.
"How was that?" he asked. I was so shocked. I couldn't believe that he just told Matt that I belonged to him. I take my phone and shove it into my purse.
"Looks like you had fun but since when do I belong to you?" I ask. He starts to laugh. I don't know if it was because of what I said or if it was the look on my face. Since I didn't have a mirror on me, I couldn't check.
"Don't worry. I just said that so he would leave you alone."
"Yeah. Well. You probably just made him more mad and now he's probably goina come after us." It wasn't a 'probably' it was more of for certain. I knew Matt. He was probably getting a bunch of his guys and then he would come find me and Jake and try to jump us. That's how he always did it.
"Well. If he does decide to come after us, I'll protect you and kick his ass while I'm at it."
Jake's POV
If you haven't figured it out yet then I might as well tell you. I'm a werewolf. I know that there are a lot of legends about us but only some of them are true. The first one is that legends say that we transform only under a full moon. Well. It is but it isn't. Under a full moon we have no choice but to transform. I don't know the reason. Nobody knows why. We just know that it happens. However, we can change at will. The second one says that only silver will kill us. That's not true. I like silver just fine. I have a necklace made of silver and it doesn't bother me at all. However if you get shot with it, then of course its goina hurt like a bitch but it won't kill us. It just takes a little bit longer to heal than normal wounds will. Another one says we are immortal like vampires and I can say that one is indeed true. My father is over a hundred years old and so is my mother. We also mate for life just like wolf. And we also super strength, speed and healing abilities.
So when I had said that I could protect her no matter what, I wasn't playing around. Damn. Why was I worrying about that. I had a mate and I really need to find her before the full moon. I only had two weeks left and that was so not enough time. I had to find her. Or it will be too late.
Jake's POV
