Metric System Conversion Charts

The metric system is a decimalized system of measurement, and today is used as an international standard, especially for conversion. The metric system conversion charts are listed below for a quick view on all kinds of measurement conversions.
Metric System Conversion Charts
The metric system uses a single unit for all physical quantity. All lengths and distances are measured in meters, and the weights and volumes in grams, and even their fraction measurements are measured using meters and grams respectively. All multiples and sub-multiples are measured by factors of powers of ten, so that the distances and volumes can be easily converted by simply moving the decimal place. The metric system comprises only seven basic measures known as units. The first four are commonly used for calculating measurement in our daily life; whereas the last three are meant for technical and scientific purposes. The seven basic metric system measures are listed below in the metric system chart, followed by the metric system conversion charts.

Metric System Chart
Type of Measure Symbol Standard Unit
length m meter

temperature K degree kelvin
time s second
luminous intensity cd candela
