Men's Shaving Body -Is That the Way to Go?
Have you heard of male body shaving? Male body shaving is the preferred method of male body hair removal as we speak. However it is far from being the best one.
Body hair removal is the word nowadays in the men’s grooming world, and the popular place in the methods to get rid of unwanted hair is occupied by men body shaving. But few men stop and think about their options – is men body shaving the past way to go? It sure is the quickest, but it doesn’t mean that is the best.
Fact: Shaving hurts your skin.
Shaving is an activity that affects the outer layers of our skin, and this is true both in the face and in the body. For example when you shave your beard, each passing of the blade means an increasing small amount of damage, and that’s why we need to then use a proper after shave cream and a moisturizer, to bring back the health on the skin. With the body, it happens the same: if you are planning to shave your body, then you’ll need to take care of it like you would take care of your face – lots of revitalizers, moisturizers and such.
The other problem I see with shaving is the terrible itching you get right away. This happens because you don’t get the hair off, but just cut the other portion of it. This "cutting" sharpens its edges, and this is what makes you itch. This issue is annoying and frustrating, and it becomes worse when you are at certain situations where you need to control yourself (like working, going to a meeting or talking to a client).
Still, with these negative points, shaving is as popular as ever.
The cause of this is because shaving is cheap and practical. You don’t need preparations, no need of going to a spa, and no need of spending any cash! This is especially important among men who are starting out body hair removal. But there’s also another factor, (what I call the manly factor). Shaving is a "manly" thing to do according to our society, so we shave. "Waxing? No thanks that’s for girls."
This way of thinking in the long term not only will result in damaged skin but also in the ignorance of better methods that can do wonders for you. It’s true they are in cases like laser hair removal very expensive, but they work for you by getting rid of the hair for a long time and delaying the re-growth of the hair. Even waxing or sugaring are better ways of getting rid of the hair. So learn your options and don’t be concerned by what others may think. Spas will be happy to help you.
