More stuff with maggie and vicky.
Part 18.
Gordon zoned out into space. "Kenny do you like that new girl?" Grey said to Kenny. "ummm." Kenny didn't want them to know that he was dating Maggie. "Sort of." He lied. Sounding indifferent. "She is cute."Grey arranged the warm and cold beers around in the cooler then Grey handed Kenny a beer knowing he wanted one.
The garage was peaceful, easy to doze off. Just what the guys wanted. They all wanted to get away from the rowdy hectic house hold of people.
It was still... momentarily. Then Suzy May ran in crazily.
"Kenny! Kenny! Do you know were Dave is?" she sang.
Kenny still stared hoping if he ignored her she would disappear. "Kenny!!!" she shook his shoulder hyperly. "I know he was at his house like some 30 minutes ago." He was distance.
"What can I call him at?" "Why would you want to know that?" Kenny's head snapped. "I wanna ask him something." She twisted her curly hair.
"I don't really want you to call him if you're as annoying to me as him." Kenny then thought about Maggie how she was only a few rooms away......
"Hey I have black mail on you Kenny, don't forget that." Suzy May scolded him.
"Yeah, well, my girlfriend doesn't care about your black mail drama." Kenny made a big mistake. Suzy May's eyes grew large. "YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND! THAT"S SO WEIRD! YOU WANNA KNOW WHO!" Suzy May's shouts made the boys wake up. "NO, Suzy May, DON"T!" he tried to settle her down so that the boys didn't know who he was dating.
He was a little too late...
"You have a girlfriend! Even I didn't know that." "What happened?" "Kenny has a girl!" "No, NO, I don't. Really, I mean, that's not true." Kenny couldn't speak. 'What was happening? Why were they acting like this? Grey had a girlfriend a few years ago and no one knew until they had broken up with her. Why was Kenny so different?' He didn't want to be.
"Kenny who is it?" Grey asked calmly. Kenny did not want to meet his quizzical gaze. "I-." Kenny did not want them to know. "That's none of ya's business." Kenny hid his face by looking down. He couldn't handle it well. He walked out. No one uttered a word.
Part 19.
"Kenny it's okay." Maggie wanted to touch his shoulder. "I agree with you. People here shouldn't know." Kenny didn't look at her. 'Was he going to break up with me?' Maggie didn't want to think about it. She wanted to be held by him.
"Kenny do you like-." He wrapped his arms around her stomach and pulled her into him.
'I love you.' Was unspoken; still Maggie knew his body language. It was loud then. She loved that about him. They sat in Vic's and Maggie's room. It was going to be like that until lily left the guess room; then it would be Maggie's. He was so mad that he drove to the other side of the city to Vic's mom's house.
They had a few secret dates out but she never thought he would be this open. Maggie thought they were doing badly because Kenny hadn't even kissed her. Now she knew how he really felt.
He willingly let her kiss the top of his head. It was nice, him letting her in. she didn't want to leave him. "No know do you like me?" she ached to ask him; she knew he wasn't in the mood. So she hid him from the things he couldn't hide from himself.
"Maggie, do you love any one beside me?" he was muffled. "No, I don't." She brushed her lips across his forehead when it appeared. Maggie never felt so open to anyone. She thought Kenny had too.
"Have you?" she said it without meaning. It rocked her when he said "yes." lowly.
"... When? Like a week ago or a year...." "both." She moved uncomfortably.
"I don't get what you mean." "Well, love her but I haven't been in love with her for a couple years now." "Kenny," Maggie sighed. "That doesn't make any sense."
"Never mind." he let her go. 'I'll tell you later.' He wanted to say but his ego was in the way. "I have to go." Said Kenny thinking Maggie wanted the same.
Maggie saw his back and body move further and further from her. To her that was one word short of a break up. Maggie's chest felt heavy.
Moments later Vic strode in. Vic was unusually glade. Her date with her boyfriend must have gone well. (And it was not Kenny!)
"Are you going Christmas shopping yet?" She asked. Christmas? That soon?
"No why?" "Can you come with me?" Vic's mood was too happy to turn down. "Yeah, why not?"
