Men are the Worst Pets. 12
Jeremy fell down during hiking.....
Thanks emily! I love to give ideas to other stories.
And thanks BrownEyedGirl for giving me advise. (I really need to know how to improve!) and thanks for commenting! -felicia
Part 25.
Jeremy was cold. The bitter wind plastered his face. In North Carolina he was alone. Jeremy wanted to remember the past. What he was like before the mountain trip and before going out on spring break.
What was school like with its refinement; or his warm house or doing school work with Vicky; or kissing Vicky? Now he’s stuck on a snow covered mountain alone, deserted.
Jeremy had fallen; he couldn’t feel his feet or get up. The slick ice had cemented him to the ground. He puffed out a white breath and watched as it drifted up and away.
"Can I tell you I love you? Or is it to formal?" Jeremy beamed at Vicky form across the picnic table. "Well, I would say yes under many circumstances but I think this is different." She smiled uncomfortably being overwhelmed by Jeremy. "Well, I love you." Jeremy grasped one of her hands and brought it to his lips. "Well I-….." Vicky blushed deeply but was too entranced to be embarrassed: to look away. "I love you too Jeremy." She said simply. "Vicky let’s stay together; move away together and be together." She didn’t speak. "I know we don’t know each other that well but, but I think we should start now. I want to know everything about you Vicky." Jeremy rubbed both of her shoulders warming her. "Because I really do love you." He ended his little speech; still Vicky didn’t move. ‘What should I say?’ kept running though her brain. She was feeling as if hot-wired.
"Let’s go to college together-." "What are you implying? You think I’m such I awesome girl to be with? Sometimes I don’t even like myself and you-you do? Why do you?" Vicky uncorked it all; spilling inner thoughts to Jeremy openly.
"Because I love you." "Why?" "I just do. Don’t be mad Victoria. It’s fine." Jeremy reached farther to pet her cute face. Vicky grabbed his and held it. She felt whole when she was with him, she longed for that feeling. "Jeremy, let’s get out of here." Vicky begged with her eyes.
"okay." He squeezed her hand and let it go.
When Vicky kissed him he felt warmth; he knew her loving lips and her soft face. She may have some imperfections yet that was what made her perfect. To Jeremy she was perfect, and so real. Every moment with her felt perfect to him.
In a sense Jeremy was infatuated with Vicky.
Jeremy was still cold; no matter if his heart was warm or his mind direct. The snow still fell and the sky was still the opaque gray purple. His body was shutting down. He could not think anymore.
Part 26.
Suzy May was feeling better. She felt more like herself. (Maybe it could be from wishing her distant family off.) All of them stood together, some walking to cars and trucks and others just were waving. Maggie looked sad from what Suzy May thought. (She was sure because she didn’t know her that well.) And Kenny looked, well he just looked. There were no funny jokes or happy smiles. He didn’t wave to anyone or even saw anyone. He didn’t talk to his guy friends; which was odd, there were many things people expected out of him. He was like a never changing river or the foundation of a house. No one realized it until now. Kenny who was always laughing and joking though everything was now sad. It just wasn’t right and it made everyone count the growing seconds so they could leave; either side.
It was weird.
