Memory Lane
I remember how you were, I remember how you made me feel, I remember how you screwed me over, and I will NEVER forget. I'M SO FREAKING SORRY D: I haven't been writing much, busy snowboarding and w/e ... so I'ma post the few poems I did write while not on here :$$
Something I haven’t done in a while,
I walked in the rain, down memory lane,
And the cold made me smile.
The wind bit my fingers,
And seared my face,
The clouds unfurled around my world,
But I’d rather be no other place.
Then I saw a cascade of dark,
That the wind couldn’t move,
The dark cape took shape,
Took the shape of you.
You smiled at me,
Like you’ve done before,
Despite the chill that held me still,
You warmed me to the core.
You opened a door behind you,
And held out your hand,
An invitation to a new destination,
You invited me to escape to new land.
But instead, I put you back in my mind,
And went off as I stored you away,
I clipped the lock as I walked,
Left it to think about another day.
