Memories

This poem is about my mom and I wrote just one month after she was buried.
I'm going to cherish my memories of you in the best way I know how
And that's sharing them with others who I meet along the path of life
Don't be angry with me when I say I'm going to remember the good and the bad
Remembering the good ones remind of the mother I had and the person you were
Remembering the bad ones remind what I've learned from you and the promises I've made to you
The memories won't make the pain go away
That's okay
Pain is a part of life
