Melancholy of Love

A love poem by Lesiba Mabukela.
Melancholy of love.
Love that extracts my soul.
Bitter sweet love thou have.
Alas, alas it is so tearful.
Thy love that is corrupted.
Saying thou love me but thy heart tells not.
Yeah, thou art evil-hearted
And thy flatterin’ smile like rot.
Smilin’ to me but inside thou frown.
Foolin’ me like a temptress.
Feelin’ as though I drown.
Yet my love for thee exist not.
Verily I will find love one day.
