Mel Gibson, Coming off a Divorce, Out and About with Girlfriend

Actor Mel Gibson has been linked in the press with four different women named Oksana since his divorce was announced, but on Tuesday night he was out and about with Oksana Grigorieva, putting to rest some unfounded rumors and confirming others.
Mel Gibson will soon be about $500 million poorer after his divorce is finalized, but he looked like a happy man on Tuesday night as he walked down the red carpet at a movie premiere in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Gibson, whose divorce is likely to be on of the most expensive in history, is splitting from his wife of 28 years, Robyn Gibson. It has been reported, however, that Gibson has actually been with Grigorieva for three years and that the relationship is at the heart of the breakup. Further rumors indicated that Grigorieva is pregnant with Gibson’s child, though there are no confirmations from either Gibson or Grigorieva on that front.

Since his divorce was announced recently, Gibson has been linked in the news with a variety of different women named Oksana, but last night’s "coming out" made things official for the pop-culture-obsessed press. Grigorieva, 39, is a singer who earlier signed on with Gibson’s Icon record label and had previously dated actor Timothy Dalton, of "James Bond" fame. She and Dalton have an 11-year-old son together.

Gibson, who sought privacy initially during the divorce announcements and proceedings, noted, "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so." Now, it seems, Gibson is willing to come out of hiding and let the world know what’s going on, and is sure to raise the ire of chat-boarders and bloggers that will accuse him of a "holier than thou" attitude. Gibson, who is very religious, last week asked members of the Eastern Catholic Church Bishops Conference to "keep me in your prayers, I’m going through a bad time in my life."
