Meditation Techniques - The Golden Light Experience
Some people spring out of bed every morning with a song in their hearts. Most of us find it a little harder to leave the cozy embrace of our bedclothes and face the day. So you'll be glad to find out that one of the general benefits of meditation is a feeling of greater alertness when you wake up.

If you find that you suffer from low energy, try starting the day with a 'golden light' meditation technique - it's a very simple visualization exercise. It's especially useful in winter when your day may actually start in the dark.

Many meditation techniques employ the visualization of golden light pouring down into the crown of your head or surrounding your body. This light is powerful masculine energy - just the kind that you need to get you through a the day.

Golden Light Meditation Technique

Do this exercise as soon as you notice that you are awake:

Notice your breathing. Pay attention to how the breath comes in and out of your nose.

As you inhale imagine pulling golden light in through the top of your head.

Imagine the light flowing through you with each inhalation - first filling your head, then your throat, then your chest and arms, your stomach and legs.

Imagine that you are shining with golden light, floating gently just above your bed and radiating beams of light. Stay that way for as long as you like.

When you are ready, exhale slowly and open your eyes.

Be sure to eat something after using this meditation technique.
