Maximize Squidoo Traffic to Promote Your Website

Squidoo traffic is great traffic, there is no denying this fact. Squidoo is almost on a first name basis with Google. They may have had a small falling out not too long ago. Today, they are friends again and all is just fine. So, you have a desire to get Squidoo involved with promoting your website. This is a great idea, but a few things need to be considered first. There are many Squidoo lenses that are in the top rankings at Google, but they had a plan and you will need one too.

These are a few easy steps to get things going in the right direction.

1. Go over to Squidoo and take a good look at some of their more popular lenses. Duplicating the success of others is a very good approach. From here, you can get a good foundation for what it is going to take for you to create a successful lens for yourself. Try to find your competition. Find a few hot lenses that fall into the same category group that you are going to promote. These are the lenses you want to really look over.

2. The name of your lens will mean a lot. Don't just pull some name out of thin air. Find all of those hot keywords that you will be using to shoot for a number one position with the search engine. Do some brainstorming on what your Squidoo lens' name will be by using some of those target keywords in the name. When you do this, your lens' URL will have the hot keywords you targeted. This will get you a higher ranking in Google.

3. Make sure that all the content that will be connected with your Squidoo lens is relevant and optimized. You can actually use anything you may have already written yourself, just as long as this relates to the topic of our lens.
