  • X-Long Twin - 66 x 102 in

  • California King - 72 x 84 in (This is a good size for tall people. It can easily accommodate 2 adults, with ample space for both).
  • King - 76 x 80 in (King-size mattress dimensions are an excellent option to make your guest room versatile and is increasingly becoming popular).
  • Queen - 60 x 80 in (This is the size of mattress mostly used and is about 6 inches wider than a full sized bed. A queen size mattress dimension is a good choice for small master bedrooms and guest rooms)
  • Full - 54 x 75 in (A full-size mattress dimension is an excellent option for a single person, especially children, but it won't leave much space for two people. If a person is too tall, don't choose it)
  • X-Long Twin - 39 x 80 in (Easy to make, these are usually used in dormitory and are longer than the twin sized mattress)
  • Twin - 39 x 75 in (These are most commonly used in hideaways, daybeds and children's rooms and while choosing these make sure that you get the exact twin mattress measurements.)
Bed Mattress Sizes

One of the most common mistakes first time bed buyers make is buying small mattresses. Many a time, people who used to sleep on double beds think it would be fine for two people to sleep such beds. However, later they find it's actually not enough space for two people. If you want a bed which would fit two people and a corresponding mattress size, the best size would be 75 inches long.

The best part of using a mattress is that you can customize it as per your needs and requirements. Usually when you buy a mattress, the sizes are standard and they may not necessarily meet the kind of comfort you desire.
