Matthew McConaughey: Daddy to Be

McConaughey announced the pregnancy on his Website Tuesday. He wrote, "My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. It’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come raising this child, being mother and father, and shepherding him or her through this life."

McConaughey added, "Wish us the best, keep us in your prayers, and God bless evolution. Thanks for being fans of me and my work and now this new and miraculous chapter in my life, as me and Camila and our child do our best to just keep living." He signed the message, "Wow, McConaughey." McConaughey’s rep Alan Nierob said of the perpetual bachelor, "He is euphoric. He couldn’t be happier."

McConaughey, 38, and Brazilian model Alves, 24, have been dating for over a year. This will be the first child for both. McConaughey has previously been romantically linked to Sandra Bullock, Ashley Judd, and Penelope Cruz. McConaughey’s latest film projects include Fool’s Gold where he reteams with his How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days co-star Kate Hudson, Surfer Dude, and Tropic Thunder. No word on whether or not McConaughey and Alves plan to wed, but the pair have been spotted sporting matching rings. McConaughey also gave up his trailer and bought a $10 million home in Malibu in November so maybe he is just getting baby ready.
