Marilyn Manson’s New Romance

Sources are now saying that his romance with Wood is part of the reason for his split from his wife, burlesque star Dita Von Teese. Von Teese reportedly filed for divorce after only one-year of marriage on December 29. She listed a separation date of December 24 and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. It was also rumored that Manson has been partying and drinking excessively over the last year, which also led to the break-up.

Reportedly, Manson and Wood hooked up months before Von Teese filed for divorce. Manson and Wood reportedly even spent September 28 (Von Teese’s birthday) together in Los Angeles. Manson and Wood became friendly after he asked her to star in his upcoming horror movie, Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll. It has also been reported that Wood posed for a watercolor painting that Manson did. A source close to Von Teese said, "Dita is heartbroken, she didn’t see this coming. His partying contributed to the split as well."

Wood was also by Manson’s side as he celebrated his 38th birthday party on January 5. A source said, "They were like an old married couple. She was always right next to him and so attentive." After he opened gifts, Manson, Wood and the other partygoers reportedly listened to songs off his new album. Said a source, "Evan was really into it, like she was possessed by his genius." It has been reported that Wood has even taken to dressing like Von Teese and hanging out wherever Manson has been. A source said, "It’s so obvious what’s happening." There has been no word on the romance from Manson’s camp, but a rep for Wood claims the two are "just pals."
