Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Engaged?

A source close to Carey reportedly told Access Hollywood that Cannon popped the question to Carey and she said yes! The source said, "It’s hot and heavy!" The two met when Cannon, 27, directed Carey’s latest video Bye Bye in late March. The two reportedly hit it off and began dating. Cannon accompanied Carey, 38, to the premier of her new movie Tennessee on April 26 and the two were reportedly inseparable. Carey was reportedly sporting a huge diamond ring on her left hand leading people to question the status of her relationship with Cannon. Cannon’s rep had no comment when asked if the two were engaged, and Carey’s rep could not be reached.

Carey’s rep shot down the romance rumors in mid-April, but the couple fanned the flames when they showed up in Las Vegas together to celebrate Da Brat’s 34th birthday at Sin City’s club Prive. Cannon deejayed the bash and gave a couple of shout outs to Carey. When asked what he loved about the songstress he replied, "Everything!"

If the engagement rumors are true this will be the first marriage for Cannon and the second for Carey. She was previously married to Record Exec Tommy Mottola. The two were married in 1993 and split four years later. She has been romantically linked to rapper Eminem and singer Luis Manuel. Cannon previously dated actress and singer Christina Millian, reality television star Kim Kardashian, and actress Zulay Henao. He was briefly engagement to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks.
