Maria Menounos Hosts from Times Square in Bikini
After losing a Super Bowl bet, Maria Menounos sported a skimpy Giants-colored bikini while hosting Extra from Times Square.
Most Patriots fans probably didn't realize that they were going to win either way. If Tom Brady had pulled out the victory, they'd be celebrating another Super Bowl championship. But since Eli Manning and the Giants beat the Pats - again - the beautiful Maria Menounos hosted Extra from Times Square in a bikini. That would be the textbook definition of a "can't lose" proposition.
Of course, most Patriots fans are probably still a little upset about the outcome of the game (see Gisele). But seeing Maria Menounos heat up Times Square in February has to provide at least some comfort. No doubt, the producers of Extra were thrilled when the Super Bowl bet materialized, and were downright ecstatic when the Giants won the game. Had the Patriots won, Maria's co-host A.J. Calloway was going to host Extra in a Patriots cheerleader uniform. Somehow, that just doesn't seem like it would have generated the same type of buzz for the show.
Maria started the show wearing a large white bathrobe, which she eventually took off after acknowledging the bet that she had lost. Mario Lopez was on hand to help her out of her robe and, needless to say, she looked amazing. She eventually tried to prod Lopez into taking off his shirt so that she wouldn't look so awkward, but he declined while pointing out that he hadn't lost any bets.
Menounos was gracious in defeat, and having a perfectly toned beach body in early February probably made it a little easier pill to swallow. She thanked her Patriots for a great season and a hard-fought game, as well as the city of Indianapolis for hosting the Super Bowl and surrounding festivities.
