Use of borax and hydrogen peroxide is known to be one of the best home remedy for mange. Mixing 500 cc of 1% hydrogen peroxide solution with 2 tbsp. of borax in water is great for your pooch's bath. Thoroughly mix the solution till all the ingredients dissolve well and use it once in a week to wash your dog. After washing properly, do not wipe it off. Let it stay on your dog's skin. Also adding 1/8 tsp. of borax per liter of water used for dog's bath is known to be effective treatment for mange.

Another best solution for your dog's affected skin can be prepared using the following oils. Take 10 parts of almond oil, add 1 part of neem oil and 1 part of lavender oil and mix well. Apply this solution twice a day over the affected areas to get rid of mites and cure the infections.

Placing lemon slice over the affected areas will also help treat mange in dogs. You can also take a bowl of hot water and add lemon slices to it and leave it overnight.
