Male Pattern Baldness Cure
For long you have been told that there is no male pattern baldness cure. However, with the recent discovery of a potential cure, you can hope for some effective remedies in the future. This cure for male pattern baldness has been discussed here.

Causes of Male Pattern Baldness
The exact causes of male pattern baldness have not been determined, but one of them has been linked to a hereditary gene believed to be inherited from the mother. However, this gene may also be inherited from the father's side. Which parent gives the gene is not sure, but it is definitely linked to heredity. The pattern of baldness starts with a receding hairline with the hair on the crown of the head gradually thinning out and then vanishing. This baldness gene in the body is responsible for the conversion of vast amounts of testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone). This hormone is known to be extremely harmful to the hair follicles causing them to fall out. Damaged hair follicles that fall out do not grow back leading to gradual and permanent male pattern baldness.
Cure for Male Pattern Baldness
More than any cure, experts have always been suggesting that preventing the condition is always helpful. However, these preventive remedies will be discussed later. What we will discuss now is the most recent discovery of a cure for baldness, i.e. the stem cell cure for baldness.
Stem Cell Cure for Baldness
A recent study carried out on bald men by the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine has shown that their scalp has stem cells, that are the same as men who have a normal hair growth. Stem cells are cells that can be transformed into any type of cells, and have been undergoing great research to cure several conditions. Of these conditions, baldness is one of them. The difference in the stem cells found in men who are bald and those who are not is that those in the former are not changing to the subsequent level where they become progenitor cells and then to hair follicles. What is stopping the development of these stem cells is yet to be determined.
Studies conducted on mice showed that stem cells can be compelled to transform into the progenitor cells and then into hair follicles by creating a wound in an area and then compelling the stem cells to develop via embryonic cellular pathways. This is based on the fact that stem cells can either transform into skin cells or hair follicle cells in a wounded area. However, they usually become skin cells so that the wound can be healed. When studied on mice, a network of proteins known as Wnt is what causes the stem cells to turn into hair follicles. The lack of Wnt results in the transformation of stem cells into skin. In simple terms, if Wnt is present in human bodies, it can force the transformation of stem cells into hair follicles thereby presenting an effective cure for male pattern baldness. Researchers expect to find Wnt in human bodies too, after which they will work on developing a method to get the stem cells in a scalp that is bald to start transforming into hair follicles. Though this will take time, there is definitely hope for balding men to find a cure for their extremely distressing baldness.
Apart from this future method of treatment for male pattern baldness, there are some other remedies that men can resort to, to prevent and cure male pattern baldness. These include consuming saw palmetto and green tea (two natural DHT blockers), massaging the scalp regularly to stimulate hair growth from follicles, undergoing surgical treatments such as hair transplants, and non-surgical treatments such as photobiotherapy (where hair follicles are activated by using a cold laser beam to make the hair thicker and stronger). Now a skin colored film with synthetic hair is also available that is neatly placed on the scalp and has the scalp look thick and well covered with hair. The film is ventilated and comfortable, and is also water, chemical, and heat resistant thereby making it a great choice for balding men.
So, with this latest discovery of a cure there is hope for men who find baldness plain distressing. Until then, if there is a hereditary pattern of baldness ensure that you follow the aforementioned preventive remedies to keep it at bay.
