A ninja, also referred to as shinobi, is a warrior specialized in unorthodox warfare known as ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is a martial art which includes the strategies and tactics of guerrilla and unconventional warfare. This technique of warfare originated in Japan, wherein a ninja was handed tasks like assassination, espionage and infiltration. In order to execute these tasks, the ninja's used specialized weapons.

Ninja Weapons
Ninja weapons ranged from smoke bombs, used to distract the enemy, to shobo, a small ring worn on the finger, used in hand-to-hand combat. The ring had a notch of wood which was poked at the pressure points on the opponents body, which would leave the enemy writhing in sharp pain. Some commonly used ninja weapons include nunchucks, ninja swords and throwing stars.

How to Make Ninja Weapons?
People are fascinated by the technique the ninja's use this simple weapons to bring down their enemy. If you are one of them, you can yourself make household ninja weapons and practice with them. Making ninja weapons is not a difficult task, when you understand the concepts of these weapons used by the ninjas. Here are some simple steps to make ninja weapons of your own.

Throwing Stars
Take an aluminum foil, and cut a square out of it. Fold this square into exact half from upper left hand corner to lower right hand corner, such that the piece takes the shape of a triangle, and then open it. Repeat the same procedure on the other side, this time taking lower left corner with the upper right corner and open the square. After this diagonal folding and opening, fold it vertically in half and open it. After doing this, you will get a center of the square. Starting from one of the upper corners, fold the foil to the center line, repeat the same with other corner. After both the sides are folded, fold the foil exactly into half leaving the folded parts on the outer side. Then fold the lower part to form a parallelogram. Make eight such parallelograms. When you are ready with eight parallelograms, interlock each of the piece with another, and push each of them within the subsequent piece, so that it appears like a saw blade. Finally your ninja throwing star is ready, but be careful when you use it as the sharp edges can pierce your skin.

Nunchucks
A nunchuck is a weapon having two wooden pieces attached by a chain. Take a stick and divide it into two exact halves of the 8 inches each. Make sure that the thickness of these sticks is small enough to fit in your hand. Drill a hole of about 3 inches through the top of each piece of wood. Insert the beaded chain in these pieces of wood, one end in each piece. You can either clasp shut it, or use some strong adhesive to fit the chain into these wooden pieces. It has to be very strong, or else it may loosen and fly off when you are swinging the nunchuck.

Ninja Sword
Take a stick of the length of your arm, and shave of the bark using a sharp pocket knife. Use a sand paper for sanding the stick until it is smooth enough. Take an electric tape and wrap it around one of the ends of the stick, this end will be the handle of your ninja sword. The handle of the ninja sword is a bit long, so make sure you choose the length that is fit for you. Take a cardboard piece and cut it into a circle. Using a sharp device, carefully carve a hole in the middle of this circle. The hole should be of the size of the sticks diameter. Put this circular cutout through the stick, and fix it to the point wherein the blade ends and the handle starts. So your ninja sword is ready, you can use the electric tape over the cardboard piece to give the sword handle the same color and strengthen it.
