Making Money at Home Through Google AdSense: Do's and Don'ts

Google AdSense lets you display ads related to their site content. Every time a page is viewed, Google is queried by the AdSense bot. For each click of an ad, you get a percentage from the amount paid by the advertisers. The amount AdSense users get vary from single figures to over five figures.

Revenue generation will depend on these factors:

Page views per day
Content topic
Price of each click that the advertiser pays (some topics cost more per click than others)

Don'ts in AdSense:

Don't ever, ever click on the ads yourself once you implement the code. The Google Team does not consist of fools. They can monitor everything carefully. So before you get any ideas, know that at any failure to follow their rules, they can disable your account right away.
To be safe, don't let anyone using a computer from your home to click on the ads.
Don't use the codes where no one will be able to see it.
Don't place the ads on empty pages.
Don't even think of using tricks for click fraud. Google is updated about such things and will go after anyone who uses those tricks.
Don't stoop to begging for clicks using dishonest reasons.

Failure to comply with the guidelines mentioned above may cause your AdSense account to be suspended.

Do's in AdSense

Instead of just using the default settings, try customizing your AdSense ads.
When you write your content, keep the AdSense considerations in mind, as well as the readers.
Consider AdSense as your partner instead of a competitor. If nothing in your content leads the reader to buy from you, at least you get revenue by using AdSense.
Place the ads where there is high probability of being seen. Position is important in this case.
Try to use the three instances of AdSense codes Google allows on each page. Try also to make each implementation different.
